Tianyi Cui | 3 comments I want to add kindle edition of this book: http://www.amazon.com/Know-Can-Do-Kno... . But must I manually enter all the entries to add the book? (BTW, I cannot manually add ASIN field anyway.) I noticed I can find it by searching its ASIN in Amazon.com. But search its ASIN in GR using Amazon.com returns no result. If I can add a Kindle book by its ASIN, and GR will retrieve its information from Amazon.com, it will be very convenient.
So, what's the best practice to add a Kindle book whose paperback edition is already in GR? Thanks.

Unfortunately, Amazon has disabled that capability. (It used to work, and you will find many Kindle editions on GR that were imported that way.) So yes, all Kindle books must be added manually.

And you certainly can add an ASIN manually. There's a link next to where the ISBNs go that toggles between ISBN and ASIN.

OK I'll add them manually. Thanks a lot. But if Amazon enabled that capability someday please let us librarians know.
