What are you reading? (Part 2)
@Theresa: ha, did you know Meljean actually suggests people new to the Guardians world start at book #3? So I could have skipped this piece of pain and had an extra ten hours or so of my life back.
@Darcy: yeah steampunk isn't always for me, either. But the world-building in TID is kind of amazing, and she pairs it with some truly atrocious alpha-male stuff that helps take the edge off.

I have finished Lover Revealed Undead and Unreturnable Beyond the Highland Mist Tales from the Terrific Register: The Book of Ghosts One Foot in the Grave and I am reading Kushiel's Dart and Red-Headed Stepchild
I started
and am on page 100. Not sure what to think yet it hasn't grabbed me like I thought it would.
I've been on a JR Ward kick... Finished these over the past few days....
Loved them all, but Lover Mine was probably my least favorite....
I just finished
and i'm about to start to read the next book
. I had read
and decided before i read volume 2
which is another 3 books put in 1 book i decided to break it up by reading Matter of the blood. i found that book to be very interesting to me i am going straight to book 2 blood bargain instead of reading volume 2 of the vampire files.

I'm surprised how quickly I've gone thru them. O.o Only one more and I will be too.
Finished Just Another Judgement Day by Simon R. Green. Gotta love that guy! I never get tired of his stories. This one was a bit of an improvement over the last two or so, though I love them all. About to start No Domninion by Charlie Huston, book 2 in the Joe Pitt series. I'm still 'reading' about 8 other books, but came to a lull or disappointed in the story. I will, eventually get back to them.
listening to
finished this morning at 12:45am
and started reading before work
and hopefully this weekend i will be reading
I have finished The Virgin's Lover Undead and Unpopular To Die For Red-Headed Stepchild Very Bloody History of Britain (Without the Boring Bits!) : (Without Jane Eyre Vampire Diaries: The Return - Midnight Angel Kids Lenora and I have started The Lunatic Cafe
Yesterday I read a lot. I finished:
,
and
. (Didn't care for the first, mostly loved the second -- they're my neighbors -- and was blown away by the third.)
Now I'm reading
.
After the fun Unfallen Dead, I read the truly delightful, surprising, funny ARC
. Now I'm reading
which is UF about a werepanther and weredragon (and lots more type of werefolk as well, I think) in Goldsport, (near Denver?) CO.
This morning I picked up River Marked which is book 6 in the Mercy Thompson series. I really like this series so I'm expecting good things. Hopefully will finish this tonight.
Fighting with Moon Called by Patricia Briggs and as for now it's a difficult fight. I just can't enjoy it even though many people recommended it to me
I just finished
. I was preparing for
I thought i was going to get it May 1 on my Kindle but its not being released until May 12 so now i am just looking for to-reads.

I finished The Taste of Night which I didn't care for and The Touch of Twilight which I liked a lot better than 'The Taste of Night'. I have started City of Souls. The story started out well and the ending was good, now I need to read the middle of the story.
Currently reading and enjoying
.In the mail yesterday came
and
. At the library I got
,
,
,
, which is really a dvd. (I'm rereading Flight and the rest of the Alexie for a library book club...) And I've got a bucketload of challenge books I also need to finish.
Just read
the 2nd book in the Myth and Magic series by Keri Arthur. It was a decent book, not as gritty as the Riley Jensen series, but a good bit of action. It is the 2nd in a series but based on another dragon, so you don't have to read them in order. I also just finished
. It is the 3rd in the Outcast series by Rachel Caine. This is definitely a series you need to read in order and to be honest, you really need to read the Weather Warden series first since this one is a spin-off and refers back to the original. I have to admit I am not as fond of this one as the original. Again it is not as gritty and nowhere near the action. But a good read anyway.I am starting
Gave up on
. After just a couple of chapters I was so over the bickering between the siblings and the ridiculous way that Riordan writes dialogue among teens. Instead I am starting
in the hopes of a better read.
Elizabeth wrote: I was so over the bickering between the siblings and the ridiculous way that Riordan writes dialogue among teens. Thanks for the heads up, Elizabeth! I couldn't stand hundreds of pages of nonstop whining in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'll happily avoid Riordan.

I have finished it on Saturday and needless to say yup I cried like everyone else. But look forward to the next book. Drink Deep
I have since then read
and now on

I struggled to finish that book when I read it... After finishing it, I swore I wo..."
I have stood by that sworn oath! Every once in awhile I think that I might like to read Colin's story - especially when I see GR friend's reviews of the books - but I haven't buckled under the pressure yet.
It helps that I have so many other books on my TBR shelf! :)
