@Theresa: ha, did you know Meljean actually suggests people new to the Guardians world start at book #3? So I could have skipped this piece of pain and had an extra ten hours or so of my life back.
@Darcy: yeah steampunk isn't always for me, either. But the world-building in TID is kind of amazing, and she pairs it with some truly atrocious alpha-male stuff that helps take the edge off.

About to start No Domninion by Charlie Huston, book 2 in the Joe Pitt series. I'm still 'reading' about 8 other books, but came to a lull or disappointed in the story. I will, eventually get back to them.

Thanks, Heather, no i did not read the spoilers but from what i gathered this would be very emotional. I have finished it on Saturday and needless to say yup I cried like everyone else. But look forward to the next book. Drink Deep

I have stood by that sworn oath! Every once in awhile I think that I might like to read Colin's story - especially when I see GR friend's reviews of the books - but I haven't buckled under the pressure yet.
It helps that I have so many other books on my TBR shelf! :)
