Darcy, what do you think of the Stormwalker series and the Horngate Witches series?

I don't know how anyone could have sustained the torture of waiting for these books to come out

I really liked the first book in the Horngate Witches series and am really looking forward to this one, but have had some GR friends be really disappointed in it. So who knows what will happen to me.
I thought the Stormwalker series was a solid "good" read for a first book. I am about 1/3 of the way through the new one and think this one is better.
I can check back in after I am done with both of them.

It's okay so far. Has anyone read this series? Does it get better?"
I gave #1, 2 starts, #2, 2 stars, and #3, 3 stars. They are ok, nothing great, and forgettable when you are done.

I read Howling at the Moon and was not impressed, it reminded me of M J Davidson, but not as amusing. For a really good urban fantasy book w werewolves, stick to Kelley Armstrong, Carrie Vaughn, (Keri Arthur, Lori Handeland or Kresley Cole if you like para romance), Patricia Briggs, Patricia Cacek (Canyons), Charlaine Harris, Caitlin Kittredge.

Awakened 2 stars

I am not sure he is really UF- he's just hilarious and demented. As is Terry Pratchett with his discworld series- esp. Making Money, Going Postal, Soul Music, The Thief of Time, and any book with Death or Susan as lead characters.

The Black Dagger Brotherhood: An Insider's Guide - J.R. Ward
You Suck, #2 Love Story series - Christopher Moore
