What are you reading? (Part 2)
Finished
. I loved it, but I'm not jumping on the Ethan fan wagon anytime soon. Will be starting
, which I'm a little nervous and way excited!
I'm in the middle of
. It's the second book in the Cassandra Palmer series. She's a clairvoyant, sees ghosts and travels in time... Sexy vampires are around as well...
I finished listening to Zombies vs. Unicorns and continue to read Spider's Bite. I'll be so glad when I finally complete this book.
I have finished
Swallowing Darkness I was delighted to pick up this book and find not only little sex, but a fast paced, hectic and actually exciting and absorbing read. The main storyline is being stretched way too far now, but hopefully the next book will bring it to an end so I gave it 3 stars
The Hunger Phylly is a fourteen-year-old girl living in Ireland in 1845. Phylly fights to keep her spirits up through her family's struggle for survival and even experiences the wonder of first love. 4 stars
Awakened Stevie Rae and Rephaim, I felt like somthing was missing 4 stars
Angels' Blood fresh and original but it didnt grip me from the start 3 starsI have started
Halfway to the Grave this definitely has a grip on me from the start.
I'm reading
. I didn't love it from the start as I expected to, but it's really come along. I think part of the problem was the way some of the characters speak. It took me a minute to decipher what they were saying and that was taking me right out of the action. I have to say, though, once I got past that, the story's really picked up. I will definitely try book 2 in the series.

I loved the idea behind the book. I love the main character, and definitely look forward to the next one which my library still doesn't own.
Finished
I loved Bloodfever, and Afraid of the Dark. Bloodhound still continues to sway me into reading this series. Death's Sweet Embrace is a book I received in lieu of reading and reviewing (like Afraid of the Dark). Overall, I've enjoyed each of these books.
Next? Hmmm...

looking for any particular type of UF? Most of the books in this thread have female protagonists, and some of the books listed are geared more to YA than adults. There are a few threads or listopias that are similar to this one that are more focused- Best Para/UF authors, Underrated UF books, UF with male protagonists, etc.
Yesterday I finished Vicious Grace by M.L.N. Hanover, the third book in the Black Sun's Daughter series. A little light on plot, it had a decent bit of character development and it didn't end the way I had expected.
Finished with
. Working on
which so far is really good! Can't wait to see what others think of this book.Next in que are:
and
Put
on-hold because it was getting to be a bit slow and started
instead.@Shelley: How is Raised by Wolves? I've been looking forward to reading it soon since I've heard it's pretty awesome.
I'm reading
right now and till now it's pretty awesome. Once again, I'm a bit shocked what people would leave behind because of science...
I am halfway through
which has been sitting on a shelf for a few years now. I've tried to fit it into a challenge for quite a while now and finally forced myself to pick it up. The heroine is a very powerful shaman who interacts with the Fairy world and seems to be dating a fox shape-shifter. I find it very interesting and it has kept me glued to its pages.
I'm also listening to
which has also been waiting awhile for it's turn. When I saw it in the library, I snapped it up because obviously I can't get my hands on my own copy for whatever reason so at least it'll get read this way.
I am reading
it was a free book for kindle briefly. It's pretty good, has a Jim Butcher/Harry Dresdan feel to it.
I'm reading
, which I thought was contemporary YA, and it is, but it's also got somethinsomethin else going on.It's also got a textbook unreliable narrator, so, then again maybe not...
I am reading Unbound. I've read the Kim Harrison story and then put the book down. Last night I read a Jeaniene Frost story. I hate ghouls and their human eating ways. Though it was a good story.

I ordered the Kindle version I'll get it at about 2 am. My hard cover will be in the mail.
Started Fool Moon by Jim Butcher (again) a few days ago, though it's slow going. Also reading Hard Day's Knight by John Hartness, which is fun. I can't seem to be really drawn into any book I read lately.
Just finished
, which is so, so, SO much better than I had even hoped. Now to read
, which I had dipped into enough to suspect I'm going to like it a lot too.
Finished the following (4) books over the last few days.
Some days, it truly pains me to rely on the local library for my books. Probably won't see Shadowfever for at least a month. :O(
Love Kate Daniels books. I finished Halfway to the Grave and loved it. Idk what I want to focus on next im in a blah reading mood.

Glad to hear good things about Child of Fire. I have been wanting to check it out for some time now.
