Just finished
and The Search by NR... Neither being YA or UF.. now reading

Just finished Ilona Andrews' Bayou Moon, from her Edge series. It's not Kate Daniels, but it's very good.
I kicked off my Halloween reading with Dying to Live, #1 in a zombie series by Kim Paffenroth. It was amazing! Now rereading Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story #1 Love Story series by Christopher Moore. I want to refresh my memory and read #2 and 3. He is always so hilarious!
Just finidhed reading
and can you say Cliffhanger WOW!!!!It was a great quick read.
I'm starting
next and hope it's good.
Now reading
Has anyone read anything by Sharon Shinn? The book starts off weird but I think it is going to get better or at least I hope!

Hi Dawn ~
I read a Sharon Shinn short story in an anthology several years ago that really wow'ed me. I keep meaning to read more of her, but haven't yet. Anyone have any recommendations?

I have read that series by Shinn, and you are right they start off odd, but it is good. I did find that they were a slow read, but worth it. I really liked the world that the books are set in. If you keep reading, I think you will be surprised by what happens.

I haven't been able to get into Shinn's Samaria series, but I lovedWrapt in Crystal and likedThe Safe-Keeper's Secretvery much.

It is getting better.

Thanks Shomeret I had no idea she had other series, I will look into them.

I'm starting
next and hope it's good."Someone new to Sharon Shinn may enjoy the Twelve House series, I really enjoyed those a lot and they are more accessible than the "angel" books. She also has a lot of YA fiction that is well written and quick to read.
I'm currently reading "A Dance of Cloaks" by David Dalglish, the Dark Tower novels by Stephen King, and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". They're all good in very different ways.
I have a few books going on at the time the first one was The Iron Daughter but I havent picked that up in a few days the main character started to annoy me. Im half way done with Rules of Attraction and its as awesome if not more than Perfect Chemistry and Im reading The Eye of The World by Robert Jordan.
I just finished Soulless by Gail Carriger. I liked the setting and Carriger's quirky sense of humor. However, I thought the romance sub-plot was a little ridiculous. I hear the sequels are better so I plan to read them later.
Finished Nightlife, which rocked my socks off. Even though it was a revisit.Just started Beautiful Creatures, safe to say I'm not impressed.
NightlifeBeautiful Creatures
I'm about a third of the way through The Scent of Shadows: The First Sign of the Zodiac by Vicki Pettersson. So far so good, though I have a feeling things won't go well between the main character and the love interest. I don't consider myself a romantic person, but every once in awhile I like a happy ending. Especially when the main character and the love interest so obviously belong together, and its such a passionate love, blah blah blah... Plus, they'd been through hell, they could use a break. Also started Deerskin by Robin McKinley, though it's more traditional fantasy.
Just finished reading
and the ending was highly satisfying, but I'm still very sad that there won't be any more books. I still need more of Marc and Faythe!
I just finished Bitten and Stolen by Kelley Armsrtong. So far I like her YA (the Darkest Powers triology) and Adult UF. I would definitely recommend her books. I recently got
and Torment. So I will be reading those next.
I just finished Just Another Judgement Day by Simon R. Green. It's the ninth book in the Nightside series and it was a bit better than the last couple of books.
THIS WEEK ONLY!!! Borders is offering a bunch of romance free downloads! They have a decent selection of historical, contemporary, erotica, and more!http://www.borders.com/online/store/L...

Thanks for sharing. It's crazy they don't put the authors name.

I was in the Nightside once again in the tenth book in the series, The Good, the Bad, and the Uncanny by Simon R. Green. It was a little rambling, but it did have some interesting plot and character development.

checked out this series tracking site recommended, and it is fantastic and super easy, mails you updates on all your series http://www.fictfact.com
Just finished
and now starting
.The Iron Duke was a very good read. I haven't read any of her other books so don't have anything to compare it to. I found the steampunk aspect very refreshing.
Killbox is the 4th book in the Sirantha Jax series. Jax is able to jump through grimspace which allows a spaceship to travel extremely fast. In Killbox, Jax and her crew are off to fight the flesh eating aliens who threaten the existence of all humans (and possibly other aliens) except as a food source. I'm only on page ten, so except for a gun battle there's not much going on.

Fallen was pretty good although I thought the ending was a bit cheese bucket, definitely not my favorite part, but I will read the next in the series, it had allure.
