What are you reading? (Part 2)

I have had this book forever. Let meknow what you think of it. Have you read her other series?"
I haven't read her other series, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I will say that this one is a quick read, the font is huge, margins big, and line spacing big too. I whipped through 175 pages in 45 minutes. So far it is pretty good.

I hate when books do that. I don't mind fast reads, but I don't like it when it's deceiving. Oh well, maybe I'll use it in a challenge.

That's not the way it's been for me, because I liked CV #1 and hated CV #2. Haven't read the 3rd one yet simply because I don't really feel like it right now. I've had my fill of cliches for a while now.

Really, wow. What did you hate about it if you don't mind me asking?
I loved the third one. It had a lot more action and a more interesting plot (IMO anyway).

I ended up liking this one. I have not read her other series, but now am intrigued by what I saw in this one.

Like I said, I don't like how cliched it's getting. The love triangle is the same as the one in VA, Shifters, and so many other series. It's irritating and I hate how Merit's been acting recently towards Morgan and her ex-roommate (forgot her name ///). And most of all, I hate how Merit's been lusting after Ethan and that makes her come across as really weak imo. It's one thing to lust after a character and completely another to actually act on that lust and Ethan is so annoying with his messed-up sense of duty and courtesy. Basically, I can't stand the main characters, and that's what makes me dislike this series.

Lazuline, that is funny because the reasons you say you don't like Merit are the same reasons I can't stand Georgina in the succubus series, lol. That's what makes the world go around. I think it's interesting to see everyones different opinions.
I started

I've noticed lots of people hate Georgina, and I don't really love her either. But the plot itself is captivating and mostly I'm just curious as to where Mead's taking this series. Other than that, though, I have a love-hate relationship with every character in the series, but that's what makes the series interesting imo.

It sounds interesting though he's a British writer, and for whatever reason, I have a hard time getting into their writing style.

This week, I finished

All three are good. Love, loved Veil of Shadows and Mockingjay was a fitting ending to the Hunger Games trilogy.
I just started

Loved it!
just started Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1)
it's been on TBR list forever

That book is on my to-read this month. Happy to hear you are liking it.

I haven't read any of the Pride & Prejudice & Zombies or Sense & Sensibility & Sea Monsters or the book where Abraham Lincoln is a Vampire Slayer. It's fun, so far.

I just joined yesterday, so this is my first post.
I'm reading Four And Twenty Blackbirds by Cherie Priest and enjoying it.
A few of my favorite UF authors are Adrian Phoenix (A Rush of Wings and that series); Simon R. Green's Nightside series; and J.F. Lewis's series that begins with Staked.
I read just about any genre and like to mix it up. After reading tons of PNR the last few years, I've kinda hit the wall and am looking for non-romance reads for awhile.
I look forward to getting to know everyone and sharing our 2 cents on books and authors :-)

I must be in stellar man mode because it is all about Roarke (sex rich man), Curran (sexy shifter man) and Raphael (sexy angel man)

I'm currently readingIllyriaby Elizabeth Hand, a YA novel that won the World Fantasy Award.

I have no idea if I'll like it.. The concept of psychometry doesn't exactly thrill me. Still I'll read at least half to give it a chance :)

You should read Naked in Death. Im not sure if that's the first in the series but Eve is great, so is Roarke. Then youve got Ian and Peabody ~ at first they are at each others throats then later...
I love that series! :)
