Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) Hi All,

I know this show's been on forever but I just started watching it about a month ago on On Demand. I'd been avoiding this show for years but I guess it's okay. I started watching it, caught up on this season's episode and I might watch it from now on.

For you long time fans, you already know what's up about show. Anyway, this last week they announced the winners that were going to Fashion Week. Out of Anthony, Mila, Jay, Seth Aaron and Emilio, Seth Aaron and Emilio won. Jay and Mila won on a tie.

CAN WE TALK?

I want to talk about this show because I admit, I'm not some big high into fashion person. Just give me some decent clothes to wear and I'm happy. I'm not like some women all into designer clothes. I could care less who makes my clothes as long as I look presentable in them. Now I might not be a big fashion diva, but I know when something is ugly and when something is pretty. This last episode of PR surprised the heck out of me!

What's with Emilio's designs? Some of the things he's designed were nice in the past but this thing he won the Fashion Week spot with was horrible! That was the ugliest dress I've ever seen and one of the ugliest outfits I've ever seen since watching the show! That thing was ridiculous and I knew he'd screwed up his chances. Of course Ms. Heidi's all up on Emilio's jock as usual, filling his big head with lies. Let's be honest, he might be a good designer but this last outfit did not look better than Jay's or Mila's yet they were in a tie for their spot???

How come every time Emilio makes something the judges swoon all over it and I'm sitting around going, "WTF?" whenever I see something he's made? They said they loved this big hoop tent thing he made and it looked like a blind person threw it together to me! LOL! Is it that I am so out of touch with fashion? I'd like to think I know what looks good. I got taste and people say I do, so I can't see it's just me. I think the red jacket Jay made this time was exquisite and looked beautiful on his model. I liked those pants too but I don't think the judges ever give Jay enough credit. I don't usually like Mila's clothes, but I thought the circus outfit was amazing. She just needs to advance her style a bit and get outta all that black and white. She needs to try new things. I liked hers better than Seth Aaron and his crazy outfits, LOL. But he has style.

I don't think Emilio should have made it to Fashion Week and that dress was pitiful! Also, what the heck was Anthony smoking when he made that dress? His model looked like a big grape? LOL!

Taking a breath...

So PR fans or watchers? What did you think of the last episode?

Best Wishes!

Yolonda | 406 comments I forgot about Project Runway, too. Maybe I'll catch a marathon of the show or something.

TinaNoir | 1456 comments I am not an Emilio fan at all, but I actually thought his Circus inspired dress was quite nice. The construction and the technique were beautiful. On the Projectrungay blog they mentioned that in the bodice of the dress he fused it so that the white stripes were eliminated only to be gradually reintroduced at the waist and down into the skirt. That is some high level technique there.

I did not think he should have won the week they made their own patterns. I thought his pattern was kinda lame-o.

Seth Aaron's outfit was also eye-catching and his tailoring skills are off the hook! But I think he was too literal in his interpretation and it edged over into costume rather than haute fashion.

Stacey, if you are new to PR, then you really, really, really need to find and watch seasons I and II. Season II was the absolute, hand down best of all the PR seasons. And if you can, find the episodes just before the finales where all the contestant meet and dish, the season II meet and dish is a must see. Especially Santino doing his Tim Gunn impression.

Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) Eugenia, I've seen Heidi in some horrible clothes too, LOL! But I've seen many models in bad clothes, LOL! They might look good in magazines or on the runway, but I question the personal style of some of them. Or maybe they just get paid to wear some stuff when they are "out" to get designers more publicity. I think they used to do that back in the days. I didn't know she was pregnant again??? The last time I saw Heidi (since I hadn't been watching PR) was on Oprah with Seal. This should be their second baby right? She had another one didn't she? I remember I think she did unless I'm getting her mixed up with someone else.

Tina, thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll catch some of the older episodes online. Youtube might have the previous seasons. Folks are always posting entire episodes of things on there.

Best Wishes!

Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) I agree about the fabric episode! I thought for sure Emilio would be in the bottom and they said his dress was the best! His fabric was tacky. That's when I knew that the judges just like Emilio for some reason, LOL! It's like he can do no wrong.

Anthony on the other hand isn't the best designer but he sure is a hoot to have on the show. I'll miss him.

Best Wishes!

TinaNoir | 1456 comments I know, I loved Laura's aesthetic. Everything she put out there on the runway I would have worn. My other favorites were Korto. I loved her bold ethnic prints. And Leanne, her final runway was show was just....beautiful.
