Emily In school I am reading Tale of Two Cities, but in my own, I am reading the Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. I have so many books on my to-read list its insane! Over 100 books! Like my English teacher says, "so many books, so little time!" :)

Emily I have to limit my tbr pile on GR or I go insane! I only add 50 books at a time. I used to have like 200 or so. Of course I want to read more than 50 books but I just put the "next 50" on my list!

Alrighty David I have purchased the Sun Dwellers and hope to get to it soon...

message 4608: by Emily (new)

Emily That's actually a good idea! The only problem with that is that I have so many lots lying around that I lose some. I hope to actually read about half if them from now till September because I have summer off with my high school school years.

message 4610: by Becky (new)

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments I actually have about 250 on my TBR list but rarely consult it on my actual next book. I use it more for figuring out which ones I need to buy, which are available at the library, etc. It's also so I don't lose track of what has been recommended to me. Once in awhile I organize my top 25. It'll take me 5 years to go through it if I don't add any more books to it.

I actually laughed when I saw my husband's TBR list only has 2 books on it. Of course, his actual pile of books is about 10 books high.

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments Just finished The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and will get back to The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer . Not sure what I'll read after that. I got a bunch of books from Half-Price Books so I may pick one of those.

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 277 comments I started on the book thief... but I just can't seem to read lately. I know it will pick up again soon and I will probably burn myself out for a week in 2-3 days by reading like 8 novels >.<

Edit: which might actually be this weekend... because I am itching to read more of the book thief and i haven't felt that way in a while. :o

Lloyd | 110 comments Kaylani wrote: "I started on the book thief... but I just can't seem to read lately. I know it will pick up again soon and I will probably burn myself out for a week in 2-3 days by reading like 8 novels."

I started The Book Thief but just haven't gotten sucked in yet. I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately,so I wound up starting several books. The one that finally captured me for the time being is my re-read of A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin . I started rereading these books when new books finally started coming out, so it's been a slow-going process for me. Soon though, I'll finally be moving into "new" territory with A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, #4) by George R.R. Martin . (Though I bet I'll get to some other books before I jump into that.)

On a side note, there is small evidence that my new medication is doing what it's supposed to do. I have to work my way up to a larger dose though, as the doctor told me my numbers were EXTREMELY high.

I wish *I* had a weekend of just reading. However, my exciting plans for the day is to somehow relieve my poor indoor cats of fleas. They have been tormented for a couple months now and the Frontline isn't working. So...today is vacuuming and spraying the carpets, etc. THEN trying my last dose of Frontline. What a pain in the @$$. I can think of about a million other things I would rather do today. I have seen no evidence of fleas anywhere else...and when I comb these flea-bags, I've only seen evidence of very few. Either way...that's my day. Woo hoo.

Happy Weekend all!

Sorry about the fleas Lloyd. My indoor cats have gotten them a few times (I think from home visits to my not so clean clients so I now spray on Off before I go out in the field) but I have lucked out and got them early. My BFF had a similar issue as you are having where she had to vacuum daily for like 2 months! She also has an indoor cat and is a clean freak so it really bothered her - plus she had a newborn baby around then so she was going crazy! We took out all of our carpet last summer and my hubby put in all laminate floors because of our cats (puke, hair, etc...) Good thing I love them.

message 4648: by Layton (new)

Layton (thunderinourhearts) I just started reading Everwild by Neal Shusterman and I love it tremendously. I'm also reading Gone by Michael Grant which is just kind of "ok" so far. Some of the dialogue in it is really fakey and cheesy but the plot is interesting. I'm also reading Graceling by Kristin Cashore which is absolutely boring me to tears.

Layton I loved Graceling so I hope it picks up for you!
