Chachic: Not having a reading slump, oh how I would love to be reading a good book right now! Just overwhelmed with classes and work. They take up every bit of my time so there is no room for reading.Brittany: I can imagine Grad school would be overwhelming as well! It is sad isn't it? Maybe we can read a few books over Christmas break!
Brigid: Yes, Monsters of Men was amazing! I would re-read the whole series now if I had time. Maybe I would better appreciate the first book.

Finished this and loved it. Sorry everyone has been too busy to read :(

Still working on "Fallout" by Ellen Hopkins. I've finished "Evermore" by Alyson Noel. I'm going to start reading the second installment "Blue Moon". Also I will be starting "Erec Rex: The Three Furies" by Kaza Kingsley.
Kourtni and Brittany, I'm sad that you guys don't have time to read lately. :( Back in my previous job, I didn't have time to read either because we had so much work to do.Anyway, I'm done reading Bayou Moon so I've moved on to this one:

:D Yay! I need to reread them too. Although I think the third was definitely the best. The first I loved, but when I was reading it I thought it was just sort of an "adventure" book, and then the story got a lot heavier … Maybe if I read it again I'll notice more of the hidden-depth stuff. I just got a ton of Barnes & Noble gift card money so I'm definitely going to buy the first two books so I'll have them all! :]

So, I finished The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, which started to bore me towards the end so I skimmed through a lot of it. :/ Today I read As Easy as Falling Off the Face of the Earth, which was cute but also kind of boring.
Now I've started The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella but I'm only on page 10 or so, so I can't really pass judgment yet. At least this one focuses on vampires who actually eat people … XD

Still not done with Bree Tanner but I also started reading Thief Eyes and I'm about halfway through. Fun read so far. :)
Right noooowI am reading

. Interesting so far.
Finshed reading
yesterday.
I plan on starting
soon … but I won't get it from the library until tomorrow. Today I should probably read some thing from the huge pile of used books I bought …

Just finished for Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-thon (which took place Saturday):
That just adds more to my need-to-blog list and I checked out a butt-load of books from the library over the last week. I'm hoping to catch up by the end of the month... maybe.
Firelight has a gorgeous cover, so some needs to tell me if the story inside matches the cover.
Chachic wrote: "Heidi, hope you enjoy reading Feeling Sorry for Celia! I liked that one."
CHACHIC!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT MY THOUGHTS ON CELIA. SO FAR I AM REALLY ENJOYING IT. COULD YOU PLEASE WHIP UP A FRUIT PIE FOR MY PEOTRY GROUP? IF YOU DON'T WANT TO THAT IS FINE. IF YOU DO, WHY DON'T YOU THINK ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE ROUND AND GET BACK TO ME.
CHACHIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI HEIDI, OVER HERE, ON THIS GOODREADS THREAD! GOOD TO HEAR THAT YOU'RE LIKING THE BOOK SO FAR. IF YOU'RE NOT BUSY, MAYBE YOU CAN LIST DOWN THE REASONS WHY YOU LIKE IT? Hahaha Jaclyn Moriarty is hilarious. Her only book that I haven't read yet is Ghosts of Ashbury High.
… I feel like I'm missing something.
Anywayyy so yeah. I'm in the middle of Halo right now, and it's kind of pissing me off so far. :-/ It's excessively long and plotless, just another teen paranormal fantasy where the girl is a Mary Sue and the boy is all flawless and heroic. And yes, I'm a little (REALLY) bitter because the girl who wrote it is my age, and I don't understand why her book can get published and mine can't. *grinds teeth together*

Brigid read Feeling Sorry for Celia - you will get the joke then. I finished it last night and loved it as much as Year of Secret Assignments :)

Brigid, I've heard that Halo isn't that good. So I'm not planning to read it even though the cover is gorgeous.

Okay :D Oh, I think I own Year of Secret Assignments. I know it's one of my sister's favorite books.

No, it's really not very good at all … I agree, the cover's really pretty. But the cover's probably the best part. :P nyuck nyuck. Why have there been no good teen authors since S.E. Hinton? Doesn't really help my reputation …

I finished reading "Fallout" by Ellen Hopkins. Extremely good book. It was a nice ending to the trilogy. I am now concentrating on "Blue Moon" by Alyson Noel and "Erec Rex: The Three Furies" by Kaza Kingsley
YAY more Jaclyn Moriarty fans! I read her first three Ashbury books a few years ago and fell in love with them; now I'm hoarding The Ghosts of Ashbury High because it's the last one and I don't want to finish the series yet!I'm reading
and it's starting to get good...! I'm also reading
right now and I'm LOVING it like crazy!
GAAH LOST HERO WANNA READ IT SO BAD *FROTHS AT MOUTH* Only a little bit obsessed. Just a little.
Ooh I really liked Shadow of the Wind too! It was kinda weird and creepy … but good. :) I remember I was reading it and my dad's like "Isn't that a Pocahontas song?" and I'm like "Nooo that's COLORS of the Wind!" nyuck nyuck

Amy, you're a Jaclyn Moriarty fan too! I've enjoyed reading the first three books and I look forward to picking up Ghosts of Ahsbury High. One of my blog friends said it's the best out of all the books in the series.I'm currently reading:
Sure! I plan to post a review of it once I'm done. So far I'm liking it better that Holly Black's faerie books.
Just started
and started the audio of
-- what the heck is going on????? What a confusing start to a book.

I have been warned about the confusing start, and they were right. I am about 2 hours into the 8 hours audiobook and am still waiting to "get it".

I am stuck on what to read now. I finished
this morning, and loved it! But now I can't decide what to read!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blech I have so much reading time right now and I don't know what to read!!!!! Urgh.
LOL Chloe, I was just about to ask what were your reading choices.I finished The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets and I really liked it! I'm going to post a review tomorrow. Now reading this one:
Wow Bluemoon, you just picked up The Queen of Attolia now? But you've had it for ages! Can't wait to see what you think of it.
I'm not really a rabid HG fan. I'll get to it soon, though. Just have to get through … two more fairly-short books, I think. :D

Agree with Heidi... WTH? If nothing else it's just one of those staple series. I reference it about as much as Harry Potter and compare characters. I guess I'll have to watch myself around you two. Oh and Bluemoon.... we might HAVE to do the book thing where you read Mockingjay and I read Knife of Never Letting Go. Good thing from my end is that if I get hooked at least all 3 books are already out!
