Yay! I just bought 11 Anne of Green Gables books (not sure there were even 11!) for 99 cents http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B...

Looks like some are Tales from Avonlea. I have always wanted to visit PEI since I read the books and watched the movies. I think there were like 6-8 Anne books.

Heidi (book pimp) wrote: "Ummm I am on part 4 of 8 of Maze Runner and so far am not really into it. Does it improve?"Hmm, I'm trying to think where you are in the book. I think it does get better later on when more action starts happening.
Yeahhh, there is a bit more action towards the end. But it also gets pretty ... weird. I can't think of a better word for it. I didn't like the end very much. :P
Oh yeah, so today I started:
I'm about a fourth of the way through, and it's great so far!
I also just started:
It's for a class. I'm also liking it so far, although it's kind of dense/confusing, but it gets better the more I get used to it.

Well that doesn't sound encouraging! I am around where Thomas is trying to save Alby (not sure how to spell it since I am listening to the audio) and a Grubber is getting closer and closer to them.

It's a very odd book, Heidi! Overall I liked it because it was so different and not your typical dystopian! I think it gets better in that it starts making a bit more sense. I believe Thomas has been kept in the dark to that point.
Ok I will update later Karen! I only listen to that audiobook while at home (I'm listening to Beautiful Ruins in the car) so it will take me awhile to get through it.

Uhhh I read it years ago so I don't remember who Alby is, but okay. :D
P.S. I like your new username. lol!

I need to read the book thief, perks of being a wallflower, lucy in the sky...and.... there were 2-3 more i need to make sure i read this month. I am pretty sure I am behind right now.
I liked Maze Runner, and then each book got worse and worse. I wish I had stopped after Maze Runner. (You're spelling the names right, hahaha)

I don't have any pets as I'm travelling but I once had a friend who had a dog named Blue lol :) Coincidentally, Blue is the name of the protagonist in The Raven Boys, which I'm reading right now :)

My parents went to PEI and came back with all sorts of Anne of Green Gables paraphernalia! But they said the area is beautiful.
And I like your new name too - I think I might have actually called you a book pimp at some point...
Yes I caved under the peer pressure and changed my name. Some pimp I make! hahahaha So jealous of your parents Vered!

I gave up after the second book. I enjoyed Maze Runner for the most part, but the sequel really disappointed me. There were just too many plot twists that didn't make any sense ...

The sequel disappointed me too, and the final book was.... well bloody awful, lol. I only gave it 2 stars because I liked Minho.
You gals are not selling me on finishing this one -- especially when I have Scarlet ready to go afterwards!
LOL, if you are comfortable not reading the rest, finish it. The first wasnt bad and it had a ending that works for a standalone.I wouldn't read past that though.
Ok it is March now and I am anxiously awaiting all my GR friends who confessed they had not read The Book Thief to read it and report back on the monthly read thread *you know who you are*

And don't you forget it Vered! I am going to troll through this thread this weekend and find all the peeps who said they did not read it!
I'm reading
, really interested so far! All kinds of tangles in the story and I want to know what happens

I saw it on the new teen fiction shelf at B&N so I downloaded it and it was surprisingly good, or at least better than I was expecting!
Heidi (book pimp) wrote: "Ok it is March now and I am anxiously awaiting all my GR friends who confessed they had not read The Book Thief to read it and report back on the monthly read thread *you know who you are*"DONT LOOK AT ME IN THAT TONE OF VOICE. *shakes nervously*
Lol! Looks like it will be standing room only in the naughty corner! Finished Raven Boys! Mixed feelings but overall 4 stars from me :)

David I am glad you said that about Raven Girls -- it makes me feel better about my overall review of it. Now back to the naughty corner where you can enjoy snacks and a recliner (still really rethinking this "punishment"!)

Not so far David. I am about 1/2 done and could take it or leave it. Scarlet is calling my name!
