Aww wow, thank you so much Vered! Although, gosh, I hate to follow Chaos Walking, eek!! Hope you enjoy it ;)
DAVID - well, I did wait a couple days before I ventured into a new book. It took me that long to recover. Seriously. But no worries, Fire Country is definitely not disappointing me! BLUEMOON - I haven't had this problem in a while, but Chaos Walking really threw me. Fortunately, David's helping me recover...!

Lol aww you are too sweet! Thanks, you made my day!
Vered I am so glad you loved Chaos! I love books that touch me that deeply. They are rare which makes me love even more. :)

I've heard it is excellent on audio so that is the only reason I am reading it. So far so good.

Yay Becky! Book Thief! Is Lady Knight like Alanna??? Let me know your thoughts on the Giver too!
Well, I didn't realize the order of these Tortall books so I have not read Alanna yet. I just put it on hold at my library. These are about Keladry but Alanna does show up a few times in them. The Protector of the Small books are the first set of books that I have read by Tamora Pierce. Since I am reading all four of them, that's a good indication that I think they're a nice read. Not as deep or heavy as Chaos Walking or The Book Thief so it's a nice change of pace.

"A lot of my friends on my mystery/thriller board loved GONE GIRL.
Good to know Melodie. I think people hated the protagnosists and that is why they hated the book. I loved Casual Vacancy and there were no redeeming characters in that book so I think I will be ok.
I have a book club meeting for The Perks of Being a Wallflower on Tuesday the 26th. I haven't even opened the cover yet. I will be in the naughty corner on monday reading the whole book in one day XD

Lol sounds like a fun day!! I've just installed a micro fridge in the naughty corner ;)
Heidi (eternal optimist, well maybe not eternal) wrote: "Do calories count in the naughty corner??"Not only do calories not count but they burn while you sit in one place ;)
Wow. The naughty corner is truly magical. In that case can you please put a Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait in there (extra peanuts and whipped topping) since I haven't eaten one in years! Thanks!

I am fairly uncoordinated so I guess I am going to have to continue to live without the peanut buster parfait!
Lol I tried to make it hard on purpose :) I just wished it into existence, check the fridge and use your imagination.
OMG...You guys are hysterical!! I can't raise one eyebrow although I can do a tongue roll! I'd rather just click my heels 3 times and say "Dairy Queen". ;-)
David wrote: "Vered wrote: "DAVID - well, I did wait a couple days before I ventured into a new book. It took me that long to recover. Seriously. I'm almost afraid to reach the end...
Heidi (eternal optimist, well maybe not eternal) wrote: "Vered I am so glad you loved Chaos! I love books that touch me that deeply. They are rare which makes me love even more. :)"Oh yeah, Chaos is definitely up there on that list of books that just won't let me go. The only problem is that afterwards, you feel kinda lost and lonely!
Vered wrote: "David wrote: "Vered wrote: "DAVID - well, I did wait a couple days before I ventured into a new book. It took me that long to recover. Seriously. I didn't want it to end. Have you met Perry, yet! He's my favorite!
Karen wrote: "OMG...You guys are hysterical!! I can't raise one eyebrow although I can do a tongue roll! I'd rather just click my heels 3 times and say "Dairy Queen". ;-)"You know that tongue roll thing is genetic - you either got the genes that let you do it, or you don't and therefore can't, no matter how much you practise. And yes, for those who can't, we know you really want to...

I totally can NOT do the tongue roll - I also can't lift just one eye brow but let's be honest Kristen Stewart has kind of ruined that whole thing anyway! hahahaha

Yay! I have been totally slacking on the second book and have read about 25% . It is really good so far it is just that it is on my Kindle and I have had too many print library books to read first.

In case you're interested, Lolita did a hilarious interview of Perry on her blog. Here's a link: http://lolabookreviews.blogspot.com/2...

I haven't read anything by her so I will ask back in a few weeks Darcy! If I pick one now I will forget by May!

I need to start the book thief too ... D:And I will be reading Lucy in the sky by anonymous for my march book club for someother place.
and ... i need to get back on track with reading. maybe my orthopedist will be able to find something helpful so i don't spend half my days in bed wanting to be productive and helpful but in too much pain to read because it requires sitting up or holding a book.

And no wiggling ears and unnaturally long tongue over here, David.Ok, that probably looks really weird to someone who hasn't read the whole conversation...

I finally got over my "I just finished Chaos Walking series and don't want to read anything else" funk and started Fire Country last night. Great beginning!
