Unwind is on my to read list (metaphorically, as well as the Goodreads "to-read" list lol). It looks really interesting.
Most people who read it talk about how it was both amazing and disturbing, lol. That pretty much summed up the first book for me.

Whoops forgot about the Lumatere series.

What's the Lumatere series about?
Cassie wrote: "Haha but you read all the books? Were the later ones different?"You mean Unwind and Unwholly? Unwholly was good, but it didn't pack the punch that Unwind did.
The Lumatere series is more of a Fantasy about war and hatred, and it centers around cursed lands. It's sort of hard to explain, but it is amazing.

I am reading 'The Little Dragons' by Rowan Starsmithand I will probably pick up and finish several books while I read that as I usually only read my nook on the go or while in bed. haha.

Haha! Well I'm glad you've already read and loved them. :D I think you perfectly summed up my reaction to them as well, lol.

There's only two books in the Unwind series so far, and I know there's going to be at least a third. I've read both and they were both amazing ... and disturbing, as Wendy said. But so good. It's the same author as the Skinjacker books, so yeah. ;)

Anyway, so I finished:
EEEEP it was really good. I'm not sure if I'm 100% satisfied with the ending, but it was still a good ending. I'll miss the series! It was a lot of fun.

I agree completely, these books were amazing and I'm craving the third book :)

Hey David did you want to be included in the sending around of my book (not MY book but you know what I mean :) You mentioned it earlier so I thought I would check as I am finalizing my list of people to send it to. If not, not biggie :) If you or anyone wants to join in please go to the Around the World Part Deux thread :)

Ok let me know if you change your mind David as there is no rush :)
I guess I'm off to the Naughty Corner. hahahaha

Nah, Heidi wouldn't like the Unearthly books. I'm pretty positive about that. I loved the first one, but each one got worse for me. (If that's the right book she's in the naughty corner for.) I bet she'd give it 3 stars.
Wait, sorry I thought we were talking about Unwind for Heidi but I think I just got confused. If we're talking about Unearthly, I agree Heidi wouldn't like them. SKIP!!

What do you think about Code Name Verity so far? I borrowed it but never got to read it. The dust jacket flap made it sound interesting, though :-)
You all figured it out without me! Yes I have read Unwind and liked it. I thought people here said I would like Unearthly in the past? I am so confused! Maybe I was thinking of another book??
Well, that and the love triangle and just the too-much-paranormal-romance in general. Heidi doesn't do too well with that lol! But I love the series and can't wait to read Boundless!!

I haven't read much of Code Name Verity, but I like it so far. The beginning is kind of confusing, but I'm starting to understand what's going on. I've heard only good things about it!

Well ... I don't know. I tend to not like paranormal romance much, but I do like the Unearthly books. The romance isn't insta-love for once, in my opinion, and totally didn't go in the direction I expected. And I disliked Clara in the beginning but she proved to be much cooler than I initially thought she was. I still think Heidi might like them ... but I could be wrong. :P
I just finished Boundless yesterday, btw. I have some mixed feelings about the very ending, but over all I enjoyed it a lot and thought it was a great series as a whole. :) Can't wait until you read it; I want to know what you think!

She might just have to read it so we can see who's right! It can be a sort of game where we all try to guess how many stars she gives it haha!!

I just put Unearthly on hold at my e-library. After all this, now I'm interested enough to try to read it! I like your idea, David!! Too funny!

I'd managed to get Code Name Verity as a galley and absolutely LOVED it! The story is well done, and as you learn the story it is all the more something that will stick with you.
