Finished Easy by Tammara Webber Saturday night. I really liked it and finished it quickly.

Now, back to my re-read of Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning .

I am starting Seraphina Seraphina (Seraphina, #1) by Rachel Hartman on audiobook as well as Size 12 and Ready to Rock Size 12 and Ready to Rock (Heather Wells, #4) by Meg Cabot . August has been HORRIBLE for me reading wise. I have been reading the same two books for the past 2 weeks! I have got in several audiobooks but my print reading is seriously lacking. My eye keeps getting drawn to my GR total for 2012 and all I see is "you are 4 books behind". Ugh! The pressure.

I know how that feels, Heidi, except mine is worse. It says "You are 38 books behind." XD I know you can catch up with your goal, but with me, I'm not so sure, but I will certainly try. ;-) I have at least 9 books that I've been reading for a while, but I'm currently focusing on one or two of them at a time so I can diminish that list. :-)

I am on part 3 out of 11 of the Seraphina audiobook and it is quite strange (but it is a fantasy). It is keeping my attention though so I am not sure yet -- I'll come back when I am done and tell you my final thoughts.

Oh yes I felt the same way (and was also initially creeped out about killer horses) - I would say the second half picks up when they are getting ready for the race and the race itself but it is a slow moving book in general. I ended up liking it even though I almost gave up on it. Maggie tends to write in a methodical manner in her Mercy Falls series too IMO.

In general it's not a very fast-paced book, but towards the end it gets more exciting. It's more focused on the world-building and characters, I think.

message 3145: by Seth (new)

Seth (ninjaaaaaofwritingbooks) | 240 comments Dearest children of mine (shut up, it makes sense even though I'm only sixteen), I've been banned from the computer! Super pissed about it, and I'm only able to write this because I'm at the library and what can my parents do about me being at the library on the computer? Whatever. But yeah, that's why I've been gone so much! I'd like to say that I'll be back soon ... but my paretns are suuuuuper pissed at me for sneaking out. But anyway, I'm currently reading The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa and Evernight (Evernight, #1) by Claudia Gray !

At first I thought I'd like The Iron King ... and I do like the writing style, but ... I hate faeries soooo much. So I'm stuck on the part where they're at the Seelie Court. There's too many faeries for me to care about it anymore.

And I've lately read: Pandemonium (Delirium, #2) by Lauren Oliver (and I fucking loved it ... but the last words pissed me off SO MUCH. Like, seriously. So much.), Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead )and i freakin loved it! Even more than VA! By far! :D), and I also finished Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead , unless I already told ya'll i finished it. But yeah, loved all of em :D But serisouly. I feel like kiliing Lauren Kate. (view spoiler)

message 3146: by Charmaine (new)

Charmaine (empress_charla) | 143 comments Ha ha, dearest children of mine, that's funny, Seth. :-) I hope you get un-banned from the computer soon! It's great that you've been reading a lot! I have Pandemonium from the library but haven't read it yet. I should start on that soon. ;-)

I did start on Hana (Delirium, #1.5) by Lauren Oliver
Have any of you guys read it before?

message 3147: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 6961 comments Mod
I am skipping Iron King because I hate fairies too. Seth I love how you "sneak out" and you go to the library! I snuck out and went to much worse places back in the day!

message 3148: by Vered (new)

Vered (vered_ehsani) Ah, yeah - I have to admit it's kind of strange to hear about a teen sneaking out to go to the library. Most parents would be THRILLED if that's where their teen sneaks off to. Seriously. :-)
