Oh, how I love Rick Riordan's books! I think I'll have to re-read the Percy Jackson series sometime soon :D

What??? Cinder rocks!!

I do too. I hadn't heard that people didn't like it until now??

Gotcha. I seriously loved it. Who knows!

Ok I just went to check out all my GR friends reviews of Cinder and no one disliked it - in fact almost everyone gave it 4 or 5 stars! It was not just me -- see!!

Noooo Seth, read it! I think you would like it. I liked it a lot ... and we tend to like the same things. XD

I am seriously unpleased that the Fabulous Melina Marchetta did not make this list http://www.npr.org/2012/08/07/1577953... but happy that Harry Potter is in it's rightful place.

Ugh, that list really pissed me off. I don't really have a problem with having a voting type thing like that, but it irks me that they titled it the "best ever teen novels." They're not the best, necessarily ... Rather, they're the ones that people voted for the most. I mean, To Kill a Mockingbird is below The Hunger Games, House of Night is above Chaos Walking... And A Tree Grows in Brooklyn which is (in my opinion) one of the best books ever written, didn't even make the top 100. NO JUST NO.

Yes I was saddened about the placement of Chaos Walking! I just kind of looked it as a list and not the order (except Harry Potter) - that helped. Still mad about Melina though.

Yeah, haha. But still, there are a lot of fantastic things that didn't make the list. (And a lot of things that shouldn't have been on the list...)

That is the problem with lists.

Ew. I hate most of this list.

You do? I was happy both of Markus Zusak books were on there because a lot of people missed I Am The Messenger. *sigh* Love the Doorman *sigh*

I am halfway through Vered's book
and very much enjoying it (it is on my ipod so I only read a little bit of each each night before I pass out). I think she wanted other reviewers for it if others are interested -- Vered where are you?? Am I correct?

Cool that you're reading an advanced copy :-) I'm currently reading the first one, Delirium!
Also trying to finish up Nancy Drew, the Clue in the Old Album. Need to finish "The Pledge," too. Also reading

Ahh you haven't read any Sherlock Holmes? Well, I really enjoyed the first one and now I've started on the second, The Sign of Four. I admit, it was the BBC series that really compelled me to read them ... But now that I'm reading the books, I can see how much effort went into re-interpreting them for the modern-day TV show. It's super cool! :)

Hi Heidi - Glad you are enjoying!. Yup, I'm happy to have more reviewers, as it's a new release. I can send epub or Mobi and I have a limited budget for paper copies available. Just message me.

Until then I have started a massive series called The Wheel of Time: Boxed Set
Finished
and loved it. Who would have thought to mesh vampire and zombie worlds?! Excellent read.
Not sure if I'm going to read
or
next. The hubster is reading
so I have to wait for that one.

Not sure if I'm going to read

I gave up on Eric Rex

Kourtni - What do you think of that series? I started reading
a while ago and never finished it. They both seem kind of similar so I have put off reading this series.

Shannen the Kate Daniels books get better - I was not into the first one. Kourtni I have been looking at the Night Huntress series on audiobook so let us know what you think!
@Shannen - Ooh I really liked The Immortal Rules! It was cool how Julie Kagawa could use both vampires and dystopia––two elements that are so overused in YA lit––in one book, and yet still make something fresh and enjoyable. :D
Anyway, yesterday I finished:
Which was UH-MAY-ZING! But of course, I expect no less from the wonderful Markus Zusak.
I also started:
And on my Kindle, I am working my way through:
So far I've finished A Scandal in Bohemia, The Red-Headed League, and A Case of Identity. Good stories so far! :)
