How did you like Angelfall? oh, and how did..."
It has some scary parts but nothing SUPER scary. More like Anna is really violent and when she kills people it's in a gruesome way. I don't know what your level of scary is but I didn't think it was too over the top, especially since it's a YA book

I liked Neverwhere more than Graveyard Book. I really liked Angelfall.

I have heard mixed things about that one so I am holding off -- let me know what you think. Are you in IL now??

Yay! So happy that you liked Angelfall, Heidi!
I'm really liking the Iron Fey series and just finished
. Very fantasy which normally isn't my kind of thing but they are good books.

MACKENZIE: I gave it 3 stars – liked it. But, I think, beside from getting away from the mansion, they didn't accomplish much.
The 3rd book is interesting. Fever ended up with a cliffhanger. The thing I am looking forward to is on the next book, not in Fever!
Not too much thoughts ^_~
I finished Shatter Me yesterday, and ... errrm. I strongly disliked it. :/ I'm kind of tired of "dystopian" books that are actually just paranormal romances set in the future. Argh.
Last night I started Cinder. Don't really have an opinion yet since I've only read like two pages. But I like the premise already.
Also I'm almost done with Daughter of the Forest. Man, this book has taken me forever to read. But it's really good. :)

Thanks for letting me know! Some people fell in love with it and others were like you, saying that nothing was really accomplished. I have a feeling its more of a "filler" book. Hm...o well. I'm gonna read it as part of a Catch Wither Fever read-along I just now know to borrow it from the library :D thanks!!

Hmm... that looks kind of interesting. But it seems to have a kind of low rating. :/

Ohh the rating is lower than I normally go with YA books, but then again several higher rated books sucked for me.

It is currently slow for me. And there is nothing extraordinary (yet). I'm just halfway through it. Maybe it has a surprising action on the next half, or a twist. hehe I am really hoping for that because I am expecting a lot from this book even if it has a low rating - as you and Brigid noted :)
I finally finished Daughter of the Forest! Ahhh the ending was so sweet. And it was so good. I'll have to ask my friend to lend me the other books in the series. :)
I just started Tim Gunn's book, Gunn's Golden Rules: Life's Little Lessons for Making It Work. It's not YA ... or fiction ... but it's light reading which I figure I can finish in a day or two before I continue with Cinder.

Yay! Loved it (Daughter of the Forest). I own book 3 (bought it when Borders went out of business) and need to read it but I would be happy to mail it to you after you read book 2!

Aw, thanks Heidi! I think my friend is getting it mailed to her from home, but if she can't get it for some reason I may take you up on that offer. :)
I'm all about sharing Brigid! I love to share books with actual readers! I have given too many books to family or friends who only read like one book per year (hence one of my new pictures!)

This was a real disappointment for me. let us know what you thought- I was hoping for much more.

Keep reading, Jessica. The first part is a little tough to get through but once you get to the girl, it is amazing from there on out.

A disappointment, yeah. I was hoping it would be more intense than that. It was written in a journal/letter form which adds to the reason why it seems too slow for me. From the first letter, I was wondering who was this Leo she (Kaelyn) was referring to. I wanted to know him more and I guess I fail to connect with either of both.
I haven't tried the Booktown series Bluemoon because people either really like it or don't like it at all. How are your liking it?
I am ALWAYS reading or listening to at least one cozy. Right now I am listening to two audiobooks of them

I really liked it! The main character's sarcastic tone actually really intrigued me and I absolutely adored the love interest, Asher. So good!

Kortni - I think the first one was better but Shadows is almost like a little novella, not a real book. I still liked it but am hoping the next one is better.
