BTW... you devoured that book Shannen! I miss the days when I could do that. Glad you liked it and sorry I held onto it for so long...

Shorter? That's blasphemy!

Shorter? That's blasphemy!
I think what Carly went through was real so I wasn't really annoyed with her but the end of the book was anti-climactic for me. I just needed more. Probably would have been a 5 star for me with a better ending. I loved Danny too. What a great kid.
Brittany - No worries about how long it took. I forgot all about it. :)
Heidi - I'm going to ship the books back to you without reading Froi unless they are supposed to go to someone else first. Just let me know. Thank you for sharing these with us!

I am enjoying both but DOS&B is just plain weird so far so I would have to give the edge to Uncommon Criminals. It is early days though so that could change.
Here's the deal with Froi...it's HUGE! If I wait another month, I can get it on my Kindle and not hav eto hold a huge book. Besides, the hubby is going to want to read it too. It's a dilemma for sure but the longer I have a Kindle, the more I dislike a DTB.

Shannen, I''ll be honest, Froi is why it took me so long to get the books to you. But you must have some willpower to have it in your possession and pass for a whole almost 2 months.
I had to work myself up to read Froi and it was slow going the first 150 pages or so because I was like "what?" and "who?" but one I got past the first 200 pages I devoured it.

I just finished
. This is turning out to be a good indie series and it's cheap on the Kindle. Are you listening, Kourtni and Brandi? :)

I don't remember being so bothered by that?? I guess I felt bad for her or something. Overall I thought the book was good but it was no Chaos Walking.

Adding these to the TBR list Shannen!

Yay! The first book made my stomach turn a little because Eden's father is a soul eater/serial killer but I'm glad I kept reading.

It is worth the fine???

It is worth the fine???

Like what Heidi said, I'm curious to know your opinion about the book, too, Emma! I really hope you don't have any fines (library fines annoy me when I get them)! I've read that book and enjoyed it, but it wasn't as interesting as the first book. I hope the 3rd book is just as good or better than the 1st one! :-)

Yes! I can always count on you for some good indie recommendations!
The first book turned my stomach a little because Eden's father is a monster and likes to torture people. They don't get descriptive, just Eden dealing with her emotions of knowing what goes on in the basement.

I am slowly making my way through

It wasn't descriptive (thank Heavens) but Eden has a hard time because she knows what is going on down there and hears screams. :(

It's a very good price, Kourtni! ;) Hope you like it! I just finished the third book last night. I will definitely read more by this author.
Bluemoon wrote: "I'm still reading Bloody Jack#3 and I'm actually liking it better than the second Bloody Jack."
I liked book 3. Just finished book 9.

I didn't know there are that many books, too! I still haven't read the 1st book but I really want to sometime.
I never got around to reading the rest of that series, even though I really liked the first book. I should get back to them eventually...

It's good :D

Did you like
? I think once you remember the characters, you'll really be into it. I really liked it.
I just started
and hope I like it more than Wicked Lovely. For some reason, I didn't like that one.

You'll have to let me know about Iron King. I haven't read it because I never hear good things about it.
OMG! OMG! I LOVED
! Is my love coming through here? I am not sure all my exclamation points and capitalization's are showing it correctly.
Seriously. I loved it will my heart! Tom is so wonderfully flawed. I listened to the audiobook and still have a crush on the narrator. *sigh*

I skipped the Iron King so let me know about it Shannen. I am listening to
. I sneaked a peak at our March book
and BOY can I tell you that was a bad idea. I devoured 150 pages in one sitting. I was going to try to pace it out for a few weeks reading a few pages here and there but what can I say? I am in love. And yes, for those who already read it, I am prepared for the pain (I think).
