Charmaine (empress_charla) | 143 comments Brigid: I hope it comes in soon for you! I got it from the library and hope to read it soon. :-)

Seth: Dauntless is cool but definitely not for me. XD I could see myself in either Erudite (because I love reading and learning new things) or Amity (because I'm too nice). XD

Kourtni: Welcome back! I hope you find some good things to read. :-) (off topic, I know!) But what is your major? Good luck with the rest of school!

Still reading Divergent but I really like it <3

Tori (rockerchick1234) | 60 comments Just finished The Future of Us by Jay Asher And I really liked it I stayed up all night to finish it :D

message 2103: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Thanks Charmaine! I am a finance major, although I still don't know what I want to do when I "grow up". LoL! But I'm good with numbers so I thought it would be the best way to get through school.

And I really enjoyed Divergent!

message 2104: by Dani (new)

Dani (dani_duda25) Just finished Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins which I loved, can´t wait to get Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins to see how it ends. Now I am starting Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth which I have heard is a great book.

message 2105: by [deleted user] (new)

Tori - That looks like an interesting book. Is it as depressing as his book Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher ? I don't think I can do depressing books anymore.

Brigid - I'm reading Scorpio Races right now and have to say that I love Maggie Stiefvater. The book is good so far with a lot of "world" building.

Oh boy! :D It certainly sounds really cool. I can't wait to get it!

message 2107: by Julie (new)

Julie S. I just finished The Basic Eight. I chose it because it is by Daniel Handler, more commonly known as Lemony Snicket of A Series of Unfortunate Events. But this was not very good. Honestly, I am just glad that although this one (his first boook) did not turn out so well, he still was able to write A Series of Unfortunate Events so well.

Now I'm reading The Fellowship of the Ring.

Ha ha! Have to agree with you now after finishing the book. ;-) Just the whole thing about working in libraries and reading and getting knowledge sounds cool, but in that world I'd be better off with Amity.

Just finished Divergent, now reading
Let It Snow by John Green

It's really not that depressing. Nothing like his other book.

message 2113: by Emma (new)

Emma (emnor) I got Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie for Christmas and I'm right in the middle of it now. I like it and lot, but it's not one of those books where I sit down a finish the book right then and there....

I also am reading Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare (Yes, still...) I reaalllllyyyy like this one! :D It's taking me a while because I am on vacation in San Diego right now, and I am reading like six books at once ;D

You should! I mean, I thought the first book was good but the second and third books were much better in my opinion. The third book in particular was really amazing. <3

Yay! Hope you enjoy it!! That series gets so much better with the second and third book! I really miss that world. I just might have to do a re-read if I get through the other books I'm reading!

Yes Lloyd! I completely agree!! I can't get over just how powerful it was. But then I felt the same way when I finished Monsters of Men (Chaos Walking, #3) by Patrick Ness . You guys are really talking me into a re-read of Chaos Walking!!

message 2128: by Brigid ✩ (new)

I need to re-read them, too. I thought about doing so over break, but I left them in my dorm room. >_<

Also I seriously need to read A Monster Calls.

message 2129: by [deleted user] (new)

Scorpio Races is intense. Maggie Stiefvater's writing is so beautiful.

I really need to read A Monster Calls too. Can't bring myself to spend $9 on a 200 page book though. I keep waiting for the price to come down.

Kourtni - Hope you like Obisidian! Quick, easy, addictive. :)

I read the digital version, so I didn't even (yet) get to see the illustrations. I can guess that it would be a $9 well spent!

Kourtni - I want to re-read the trilogy already too! I still remember almost breaking out in tears on the bus ride home that night I was reading the Knife of Never Letting Go. :(

message 2131: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Brigid - You DO need to read A Monster Calls!!

Shannen - I'm liking Obsidian so far! I needed something quick and light after A Monster Calls. And yes you should read it!!

Lloyd - I read it on my Kindle Fire so I got to see the illustrations. They were pretty awesome! You need to see them! Oh, I came to tears many times through the Chaos Walking books and I can't even tell you how much I boo-hooed reading A Monster Calls. I thought I was going to wake up my husband sleeping next me! LoL

I listened to a Monster Calls - I bought it for $9 from Books on Board and it was money well spent. Jason Issacs did a wonderful job narrating. I am crying just thinking of it *bwaaaaaa*

Happy you liked it! If it's any consolation, you could read Significance (Significance, #1) by Shelly Crane Accordance (Significance, #2) by Shelly Crane next but then you'll still have to wait for the third book in that series. But at least their are two books out in that series! Another book that I couldn't put down was Devour (The Devoured Series) by Shelly Crane but the sequel isn't out yet.

Kourtni - Yay! I'm waiting for the third book while stalking the author's page on here. She actually responds to people when you write to her.

message 2145: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Oh nice!! When does the third book come out?? I hope it is the last book..I can't stand waiting for books!!

message 2146: by [deleted user] (new)

Defiance (Significance, #3) by Shelly Crane comes out in May. I hate waiting for books too. I much prefer to discover a series once all the books are out.

And Onyx (Lux, #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout comes out in May too. It's going to be a good month!

message 2147: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Oh wow! AND my birthday is in May! So it is a good month. :) There are soooo many books coming out in May! Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12) by Charlaine Harris Bitterblue (The Seven Kingdoms, #3) by Kristin Cashore Insurgent (Divergent, #2) by Veronica Roth Onyx (Lux, #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Defiance (Significance, #3) by Shelly Crane City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) by Cassandra Clare . I'm sure there are more that I'm missing.

Kourtni - I haven't kept up on the Sookie books and I haven't read the fourth MI book. Shame on me!

message 2150: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments I really like Sookie's personality. She's funny so it makes the books seem light, even though the subject matter may not be. The fourth MI book was not up to par with the first three in my opinion, but I can't keep myself from reading them, horrible cliffhanger endings and all.
