Emily (librarylil) I agree, the Gallagher Girl books do get better as they go along. Such fun reads!

message 1502: by [deleted user] (new)

I hope I like it too. I assume by the title that there is some romance?

That was a fun book, except it got kinda confusing towards the end. I read the second and third books too but I lost interest after that ... they get rather repetitive.

Across the Universe was pretty good. I got kind of pissed off at it toward the end, but ... I thought it was cool it took place on a spaceship. And it was exciting.

I just finished

Blood Magic (Blood Journals, #1) by Tessa Gratton

It was ... good. Not amazing, but enjoyable. I'm still kind of processing it. Well, it was definitely creepy.

And I am now starting

Die for Me (Revenants, #1) by Amy Plum

I've only read the prologue and a bit of the first chapter so far. It seems cool, but ... we'll see where it goes. :)

message 1510: by Thalia (new)

Thalia (thaliaanderson) I just finished Among the Impostors (Shadow Children, #2) by Margaret Peterson Haddix .

I've now nearly finished with Haunted by Joy Preble

Kathryn Long Has anyone checked out Amazon's 4 for 3 special? I didn't even know they had that category until my teen novel, Cinderella Geek was placed in it today. Buy 4 books and get the lowest priced one free. Gotta love a good buy! Enjoy your reading! Cinderella Geek

Yeah, I'd say it's worth reading. Just that, some parts are a bit infuriating. And then there are parts that are just ... O_O Uhhhh.

Trust me, you'll see what I mean.

Julie S. I just finished The Reptile Room: Book the Second. This is my first time going through the series, but I am really enjoying the books. Lemony Snicket is slowly but surely becoming one of my new favorite authors.

It was really good ... I read the whole thing on a 2-hour car ride. I'm still absorbing it, though. Definitely addicting, but also very absurd and mind-blowing. I still haven't quite decided what I thought the message of it was. But regardless, it's kept me thinking. And that's a plus.

I would love to know your thoughts on it, Heidi. You should check it out. ^_^

I wish I could read in the car! I get sick just reading receipts in the car.

Brigid ✩ | 2471 comments Mod
I used to have that problem. When I was a kid, I'd get ridiculously sick to my stomach if I read in the car. For some reason it went away once I became about 16 or so. It's strange. Now I always read on long car trips. Maybe it's because I used to do it all the time anyway so I got used to it. ;) lol

message 1536: by Thalia (new)

Thalia (thaliaanderson) I used to not get sick at all when I read in the car. I could be listening to music and reading at the same time, and I'd be fine. But as I got older, I started to feel sick in the car again and I don't know why. :/

See! Now you know. I didn't even know what to do with the darn thing.

I finished Return to Paradise (Leaving Paradise, #2) by Simone Elkeles a few days ago and am just now starting The Lost Saint (The Dark Divine, #2) by Bree Despain . I've been in a funk and haven't felt like reading. Still need to finish I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1) by Ally Carter .

Bluemoon - I can't blame it on the heat...I don't think we have had a day over 70 in the last week. Life is just busy in the summer. I also think that reading the last Sisterhood book has something to do with it.

Yeah she really is! The humor in this book is really good but I think I'm at a slow part so I'm like ughh trying to push through it! I like Lord Maccon and I was cracking up at the vampire lisp in the beginning
