Rolenda (len12) | 89 comments At last I'm done with Extras (Uglies, #4) by Scott Westerfeld ! It's really good! I'm now reading Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles I'm actually looking for some kind of romantic novel cause I think i'll be resting from dystopian stuffs.. ^_~ And currently, I'm liking this one! SoOo cute!! Really cute!

message 1454: by Picture (new)

Picture Perfect (picturesperfect) I just finished reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. I feel incredibly hollow and numb. It's not a book that will make someone cry. But it is a book that makes you absorb the feelings from the book. Don't be prepared to laugh. Don't be prepared to cry. That is depression really. Numbness. Oh dear, I'm glad I'm not depressed like Esther. Beautifully written novel overall. I only wish someone was there for Sylvia Plath, so she would choose not to kill herself.

Jenna (jennachristy) perfect chemistry was fun!

Bluemoon wrote: "BRIGID: So how was your overall perception of the book?"

Which book? Harry Potter?
It was good, although it took me forever to read. I thought it started off kind of slow, but toward the end it got a lot more exciting. Anyway, I loved the ending, although it was sad so many people died. :( Also I loved all the backstory stuff, especially about Snape. 3 AAAAH.

So glad you finished HP Brigid :) I think I am the only person who disliked Perfect Chemistry. The stereotyping really pissed me off.

I'm glad too. Took me ages. :D
I haven't read Perfect Chemistry but I didn't like Leaving Paradise much, so I never tried her other books.

I actually liked Leaving Paradise much more than PC, (ironic that the initial are PC as it is anything but), but she is not the best writer in the world by any means. She has a very basic writing style. Let's just say she is not giving Melina Marchetta a run for her money or anything.

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Sisterhood Everlasting (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, #5) by Ann Brashares Because The Sisterhood books are one of my fave series of all time and I seriously love that she wrote a 5th one about the girls 10 years later. I really hope it lives up to my expectations

lol! That is ironic. :D
Yeah, the writing really bothered me, and I caught tons of typos. The whole thing felt a bit unprofessional. There was even a horrible grammar error in the dedication. It was like, "To Brent, who brightens my day just by looking at him."

So yeah ... Right away I knew I was going to have issues with that book. :P

Blood Magic looks good but at $10.49 for the Kindle version, it's going to remain on my TBR list for a long while.

I'm going to the library on my break to pick up Sisterhood Everlasting (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, #5) by Ann Brashares from the library. Yay!

That sounds about right. I still haven't decided if I "accept" the book or if in my head, we all just ended in Greece after book 4. At this point, it could go either way, and I finished reading the new one about 2 weeks ago, so I've been thinking about it for a while.
