I'm still waiting for Erebos. I decided to start The Wheel of Time for now. These books are a bit longer than I'm used to anymore. We will see how it goes.

Let me know your thoughts. I own this on audio but haven't gotten to it yet."
Heidi, I thought it was great! I gave it a 5! I don't know how it is on audio, but I loved the book.

right now and am excited to see how the series ends. Hope you love it too!

Yay!! I am listening to Winter

How are you liking Winter so far, Heidi? I'm like 120 pages in I think, and I love it so far. I almost forgot how much I love all the characters. :D

ooooh Dixie I hope you like it, that's one of my favorite series!

Everyone keeps talking about Winter. I have to put that series closer to the top of my list!

Yay Kristen!!! You won't regret it (*crosses fingers* Brigid I am on disk 8 out of 19 and really love it so far. So nervous for everyone and hate Levana!
I hope you like it Kristen! It's a really fun series. :) Yay I'm glad you're also enjoying it Heidi. Ugh I know, Levana is so terrible! I haven't been able to read much over the past couple days but hopefully I can get back to it soon.

When you ladies recommend it, I'm pretty much guaranteed to. I'll let you know though
Haha I feel the same way, Kristen! I trust the opinions of you guys more than anyone. ;) I hope you like it! IMO the series gets a lot better as it goes along, but I still really enjoyed the first book.

Recommendations?

If you like historical fiction I highly recommend

Oh and I saw you're reading In the Garden of Beasts! What do you think? I just read Devil in the White City last month and LOOOOOVED it.

Kristen I am so excited to see your thoughts on the Lunar series. I checked your TBR shelf and can not believe you have not read The Knife of Never Letting Go!! How have I let you slip through the cracks and not hounded you to read that one?!! You MUST read it.

It is the third book in it's series and I am really enjoying it! Probably my favourite series I've ever read :)

I started that one ages ago after I heard him speak and got it autographed, then things got crazy and I forgot to finish it. I'll probably get the digital copy and finish it, since I hate reading an autographed copy. Devil In the White City was amazing. I formed an addiction about researching the World's Fairs and collecting postcards from them after that book. I read another of his shortly after about the hurricane that hit Galveston in the beginning of the 20th century (Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History). It was a little dry in parts, but still well worth reading. And I think I'm overdue reading Thunderstruck. I have a copy somewhere.
Oda & Heidi, thanks :). I'll move those up. Cinder comes tomorrow. Yay!

*hyperventilating*
SO. COOL.
I'm dying to read Dead Wake too!

Was this addressed to me or did I miss someone else say they did? If it was me, I saw Erik Larson, actually. He was doing a discussion at the national Holocaust Museum. I, of course, acted like a bumbling idiot, particularly when he told me his daughter had the same name as me, so he liked it a lot. Truly, I shouldn't be allowed out of the house :p.
If it wasn't me, ignore this comment :)

He was such a nice guy, genuinely so. Somehow Dead Wake wasn't on my radar! It's on my short list now. Thanks for mentioning it :).
still trying to finish...
It's taking me so long to finish this book, not because I don't like it, just not enough time. Back from vacay so maybe I'll get around to finishing it!

I've been meaning to try this series. I even borrowed the first book from the library and then never pick it up. I'll have to try again soon.

I think I'll only be able to read a book or two each year from this series. The books are rather long and sometimes too much description for me. I guess I got used to YA Fantasy where they seem to keep the books to 400 page MAX and a lot of action. (I know I'm generalizing, but there does seem to be a bit of a difference between YA Fantasy and just Fantasy. Since The Wheel of Time has a teen main character, it could be put into YA but it is not.)

Now back to finish off

How was Blood and Smoke? I keep meaning to grab that from the library...
