Hmm, okay. Good to know. I'm usually a huge fan of Scott Westerfeld, but his last book (Afterworlds) really disappointed me, so I've been putting off reading Zeroes for a while. I guess I'll try not to go into it with super high expectations!

I also keep hearing about that one and it sounds interesting!

and while it wasn't my fave of the series, it still had lots of action and the spunky humor I love from this author. I was also very happy with the ..."I'm gonna listen to M&M as soon as Devil in the White City is finished, hopefully by Saturday or Sunday :) And I hope you like SLA!
I couldn't get The Penderwicks from the library. I'll have to try again another time. I started Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library and finding it quite amusing. The puzzles are fun, too.
Rats, Becky! Hopefully you will find it another time. :) I started the sequel recently and I'm enjoying it so far.
Also today I finished:
*fangirls* Definitely one of the best things I've read this year! I didn't know much about it when I picked it up, so it was a very pleasant surprise for me. Really cool book––I may save it for my "hidden gem" recommendation, since it doesn't have many reviews so far. :D

I hope you like Linger, Donna! I think that was my favorite book of the trilogy.I'm reading
and
, planning to have them both wrapped up by the new year.Finished
two days ago. Talk about an engrossing book. And I should start listening to
here soon but I'm so tired today LOL it may wait til Monday.
@Donna - Cool, I'm glad to hear you liked Zeroes in the end! I will have to give that one a try. :) And I hope you enjoy Linger––I agree with Ashley, that one was my favorite of the series.
Today I finished:
I didn't like it quite as much as the first book––I thought the plot of it was a little more clichéd and I pretty much predicted the whole thing from the first few chapters, haha. But it was still very cute and fun, and I love the characters in this series. :)
Also yesterday I got (as a Christmas present) and finished all of:
It was really funny and I enjoyed it. :D
I still need to finish:
It's been taking me ages for some reason, but I do like it!
And I'm also trying to get through my big pile of library books, so today I also started:

I love Uglies! That's one of the series I hope to re-read in 2016. :)

I just started it and then got house of leaves. Needless to say, I probably won't pick it back up til this mostorous novel is done first lol.

I hope to listen to that one on audiobook in Jan :)

Illuminae is next on my TBR! I'm looking forward to it, I've heard it's really good. :)
Last night I finished:
Hmm ... it was okay. Not really sure how I feel about it. I think it was too long and the story kinda lacked focus.
And today I finally started our hidden gem of the month:

And today I finally started our hidden gem of the month:
The more I read of Everlost, the more I feel like it's just an okay book. Definitely an interesting concept to start with (I mean, the crossing over of the twin towers? Heartbreaking and genius). I might pick up the other two since it's only a trilogy rather than a larger series, but it won't be a priority.

I felt the same way. We agree again Ashley!

Love it when that happens ;) Hoping to go home and power through it tonight so it counts for this year! Then to start the HP reread :)
Philippines. I'm actually here now, but so far I have WiFi, eventually I'll be going to remote places that might not have.
Thanks, Heidi. A month is a long time, but just coming here already takes 1 day and that by plane! Plus, we're not staying in one place. We will be doing road trips ^_^

Yesss Stand-Off! <3
I've read like 1/4 of 172 Hours and no one has gotten to the moon yet, haha. :P I'm finding it a little slow, but I like the premise (even if I find parts of it a little unbelievable)––and I see a lot of reviews saying it gets really scary, so I'm waiting for that to happen! :D

I think I've said this a billion times probably, but I thought books two and three were a lot stronger! After book one I wasn't totally sold (even though I liked it), but the sequels made it one of my favorite series. :)

I finished my audio of
and I LOVED it! Great audio! Also finished
and it was okay. Classic silly chick lit, but I wasn't really into it until the end.I'm about halfway through
and its REALLY creepy and intense! Its in full out thriller mode now!I was thinking of reading
next, but I just don't know. I'm in the mood to read, but having trouble picking a book! I'll also be starting
soon, my first nonfiction book of the year!
I finished
and WOW was that a book! I gave it a 5 star rating, it gave me actual chills at the end! Great ending! Anyone who likes mysteries and thrillers would love this series I think, you just have to stick through to the end (like any good mystery)!
Finished our December group read:
Hmm, kind of mixed feelings. I liked the premise and the plot, and it did succeed in scaring my pants off. :P I wasn't a big fan of the characters or writing, though.
And now I've started:
I've heard such good things about it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll like it!

Finished
and I mostly enjoyed it! Its definitely way better than the first 2 books, and I think I'm hooked now! I really didn't like Daemon in the beginning, thinking he was all that and stuff, so cocky. But he's grown on me, and actually, if I'm honest, at times he reminds me of my hubby LOL!

Happy New Year, everyone! (January 5th. . . A little late :) ) I feel like things are just now starting to settle down. I am enjoying hearing everyone's reads! I finished
over the holidays. I don't usually read such long books, LOL! It was haunting and gave me a lot to think about, but I like Alice Hoffman's less historical novels better. I read How I Live Now
and loved it. A very different book; lovely. Now I'm reading
for book club. January is a good reading month! Yay! :)

That sounds wonderful! Have a great trip! :)
ooooh Dixie the Dovekeepers is on my shelf! I picked it up for $1 at the used shop and it's still in great condition. Looking forward to it!Just finished my reread of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and I'm all warm and fuzzy :) then I went ahead and started Erebos last night, and the action's just picking up. Looking forward to getting creeped out by this one, it feels a bit darker than RP1 did.
Finished
and I loved it, 4 stars. This one explored even more moral conundrums than its predecessor! Another action packed read, while Marguerite visits even more strange universes.
