What are you currently reading?
I read these two books.
The first one piqued my interest some but I was not as thrilled with the next one. Maybe if I hadn't read The Heist Society.

Good to know. The Heist Society is one of a kind!

Since I finished reading...
I'm a bit undecided if I should keep reading a new YA, another Poirot book or continue a series I've started already.

Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "Yay! So glad you finished the series. I just bought Fairest on audiobook so need to get to it soon too :)"I loved it. Really sticking with me.
Also, less than 90 pages left of Fairest :)

Oh and Heidi, Amazon Prime just sent me an email saying I get 3 free months on Audible (well really 1 book/month for 3 months) as a Prime member so I am going to need your top audiobook recommendations! I know it will be hard for you to whittle that list down so just throw'em at me and i'll see what jumps out at me ;)
Ooooo yay! So excited for you go get free audiobooks Jaimie! Gah! So many good ones out there. I will look at my list and get back to you.

Of course! Things like that always happen to me. I am spoiled because my libraries are both open daily. I hope you enjoy the end :)

Looove her! I didn't know until recently that she has sold more books in the Englidh language than any other writer! I thought it was Stephen King(he is second) ;)
I just finished reading Sugar. Have any of you read it? I really liked it! Before that, I read All the Light We Cannot See. My book club will be discussing it Monday. Everyone I know who has read it liked it, and I loved the last 2/3 of it, but the first part to me was too much -however beautifully written, and it was! -description and detail. I just this minute finished Sugar . . . and it was one of those books that I just could not stand for it to be over? :( Loved it!
Jaimie I looked at your tbr shelf and two MUST listen to audiobooks from it are The Book Thief and White Cat
I have a shelf of "must listen to audiobooks" as well that you can look at or for sure you can always ask me. Some of my favorites are The Monstrumologist

The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line (Kristen Bell -yay!)
Ready Player One
Rot and Ruin
Eleanor & Park
The False Prince
A Monster Calls and
Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy

Hi Heidi! It is by Deidre Riordan Hall. I don't know how to put book cover links in when I am on my tablet. Maybe there is a way. :) Anyway . . . the book reminded me in some ways of Eleanor and Park, but in other ways not. I loved it; it is kind of different.
Yes, I love the Lunar Chronicles! I liked the second and third books more than the first one, but it's still good. :) Shadow and Bone was just okay for me, but a lot of people really love those.
I haven't read S&B yet, though I really want to. I highly recommend Cinder. If the last book in the series ends up being as good as the rest so far it will probably end up being one of my top 5 series of all time.
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "Thanks Dixie. I will check into it :) Good to know about Fairest Tommy. I need to get to it!"
Oh, I was also going to say, about Sugar, it has some similarities with Precious, and people are comparing it to Precious, but to me it has more in common with Eleanor and Park, because it is a love story. But the mother and the eating are like Precious.

I am putting it on "Want to Read" right now, because I have been wanting to read it, but I forget. Isn't there another one called Cinders and Something? ;)
Dixie so far in the series there is Cinder, scarlet, and Cress plus an extra called Fairest. Please give it a try and let me know what you think. I really like the series personally.
Hello!! I'm looking for Tiffany to pick our July group read - are you here Tiffany?? If I don't hear back in the next day or so we will have to come up with a back up plan like picking one of the runner up books from other group member :) https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I finished
today. Bone is phenomenal. I don't know how I've been a comic reader all my life and never got to this series before now.Up next,

Yup! Just the 4 books.

I'm reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, Sorta like a Rockstar...Need to start reading Triangles by Ellen Hopkins (for a book club)
The lightening thief
and a few others but they are non-ficiton.
I have to pick a book club book tonight and I am having a hard time choosing :(
I read
. It's more middle school age and I thought the plot had a couple of holes. Still an enjoyable read and I will read the next one.I started
and am loving it. The characters are wonderful, especially Lockwood (similar to Sherlock Holmes.)

My son has read all of the Bone books and Amulet books. His favorite graphic novel author is Doug TenNepal but we have to be careful because some of those are too mature for him. Do you have any Middle School/YA graphic series that you would recommend?
Becky wrote: "Tommy wrote: "I finished

That you asked this honestly makes me really happy. None are coming to me off the top of my head since the bulk of my comic/graphic reading tends to be outside the MG/YA spectrum, but I will think on it and come back. I'm sure I'll think of something.
If nothing else, has he checked up Diary of a Wimpy Kid? Kids tend to love it and I find them hilarious.
FYI I have decided to move The Girl of Fire and Thorns
from Aug. to July so it will be our July group read.

I just finished
I really liked it. Its not a very happy book, but its well written and feels like something that could happen in the not so distant future. Anybody else read it? I'm starting
next.
The Girl of Fire and Thorns sounds really good! I was just checking it out, and I saw a review by Veronica Roth, among many others! Sounds like a great pick!
I have never read the Dragonlance series Ron - sorry!
Kara that Only Ever Yours book looks creepy!
Thanks Dixie!
