What are you currently reading?
Brigid I am over half done with Icefall and it is growing on me. If you like Norse mythology it is def. for you! I also just started Mates, Dates and Inflatable Bras
on audiobook.

and I started listening to

Ashley, I read Red Rising and thought it was great! I just about couldn't out it down!

It's grown a lot on me, too. :D I don't know very many Norse myths so it's cool to learn more of the stories.

Ashley - Croak is on sale for $1.99 (ebook) so I picked it up along with the audibook for an additional $3.49 :)

@Dixie I really like it! The whole concept of a Mars colony is very interesting, and I'm not usually one for space-age sort of books (says the girl who's in love with the Lunar Chronicles). I love the audiobook narration so much!

Damn, I knew there was a reason I wanted to read Icefall. I need more Norse mythology, the Thor movies just aren't cutting it lol

idk, I'm feeling very bogged down at the moment. Think I signed up for too many BRs lol. Started The Blade Itself a few days ago and haven't gotten nearly as far as I should have by now, and I'm still pressing through Seventh Son. In the meantime I seem to be completely ignoring Shadow & Bone, which I was supposed to start the day after Blade Itself, plus I've got The Name of the Wind waiting to be started tomorrow. le sighhhhh.
I found all these great sales in another group and had to post them here!

No worries Ashley! The thread will be here for when/if you ever get to it. I am also bogged down because I think I will be getting 3 "around the world" type books at once! eek! I like to move them along but I have so many others to read too. Decisions. Decisions. btw - are you reading Name of the Wind or listening to it? I love the narration but got bored with the story itself. I know you like Norse stories so you may like it more than me. I felt it could have been edited down a lot.

Ashley I mostly get the ebooks if they have the Audible whispersync book for cheap! hahaha I never use my Kindle!

Just started My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories
. My last library book for now until I get started on my 2015 challenges to read the Kindle and paper books I own.

<3 this book!

Hi, Heidi! I finished Katherines and I loved it! It wa such an offbeat, quirky, fun book with a lot of heart. Not nearly as dramatic as TFIOS, but I actually liked it even more.

So far so good Jenny

Now reading

Never read HG Wells myself Jenny. I skipped Red Rising after Brigid and some others on GR did not love it.
Just started Say What You Will
. My last library book for awhile until I get caught up (kind of) on the books and audiobooks I already own.

I want to read that one but my library dont have it and am broke.. :/

Jenny I saw you mentioned it had an insta-love thing going on. That is one of my major pet peeves so that did not sell me on it!

It was mostly about this young girl who exists and has been raised to be a surrogate for the weathly. The royal and elites blood lines have gone bad in this futuristic society, so they look for the best in the poor sectors of the city (there is a fantasy element at play here too) then pluck the girls from their homes, and raise them to have the rich women's babies. This is this girl's entire purpose. They fix them all up, dress them to the nighs, and basically sell them at auction. They are given every modern comfort, BUT they are not treated well. All kinds of lies and backstabbing also exists with the elite. I found the whole thing really fascinating!

I thought it was really cute and the audiobook narrator did a great job. Made me miss Georgia Nicolson though!

Confession time, I enjoyed the film much more than the book(Georgia nicholson)...

No need to hide in the corner! Georgia is not for everyone! I loved the entire Georgia series but I really think the series is one that the audiobook narration really helped improve my ratings because the narrator was excellent. I loved the movie as well and even bought the soundtrack (which is awesome :)
Yes :D:D loove the soundtrack)scouting for Girls, the band is one of my fave bands).

Enjoying Icefall so far! It is a bit more on the middle grade side, but it's an intriguing story and I like how the Norse mythology is tied in.
The Boy A Thousand Years Wide is .... interesting. It's an ARC I got from NetGalley a while ago. It's unusual and intriguing, but the style is a bit annoying ... it's written in a sort of "dialect" style––kind of like Chaos Walking but not nearly as good or consistent. But hopefully I'll get used to it and the story will get less confusing.
