BECKY: I think that's what a lot of people have trouble with. They just can't get attached to the protagonists.
Love the Thief! I haven't read the third book, but the second is better ^_^

@Oda and Heidi - Haha okay, I will try to read it soon! :D I have a couple of other things lined up, but hopefully I can get to it sometime in January. I have more reading time since I don't have classes again for a month. :P

I just finished Red Rising, and it was great! I could not put it down! I love it when that happens. . . ;) I am reading An Abundance of Katherines and then need to hurry and read Icefall before December is over! This is the time of year I stay inside more-and read! Yay!
Yay Dixie! 2014 was a sad year for my year end book totals but I always have 2015 to make up for it! Abundance of Katherines is the only Green I skipped due to some so so reviews. Let me know what you think please :)
finished Sabriel last night and really liked it, although for some reason the ending felt a bit rushed. maybe it was just me and I need to reread it. looking forward to the second one, anyway!I'm thinking I'm gonna wind up setting Froi aside until sometime in the new year, I don't have the attention to devote to it right now.
Dixie wrote: "Ashley,I loved those books-can't remember the names of all of them, just that I loved them!"the Sabriel series? I was actually pretty impressed by the first one, I've never run into necromancy in fantasy-fiction before so that was really cool.
I'm also taking The Blade Itself to the library shop with me later to occupy my time :) so many buddy reads this month and next! and I'm supposed to start Shadow & Bone tomorrow eeeeeks.

Wow Jenny! You have had a good reading month :) It is nice when you read all solid reads back to back.
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "Do you think I sound try it again Ashley? I know some books are worth it so let me know :)"I thought it was worth a second attempt, since I made it all the way through it -- this one seemed to take a bit more focus than most books (dunno why) but I liked the world-building and the story didn't feel cliched.
I started Bruiser
on audio on my long drive yesterday and I love it so far. I am getting towards the end though an so anxious about what is going to happen!

Oda you always have all these new books I have never heard of until you post you are reading them. I am so behind!
so between the ABC Family HP weekend and my GR friend Verner starting to read Philosopher's Stone for the first time, I've gone and found the Prisoner of Azkaban audiobook on youtube. we'll see how long it stays up, but I love this book in any format.
Gah! I own and love all the HP books on audio. I love Jim Dale as a narrator but would also love to hear the UK versions with Stephen Fry.
I just listened to something on youtube with the first chapter with both Jim Dale and Stephen Fry. I still love Jim Dale!

Well, most of the books I read are bestsellers, but yes its hard to be aware of all of the betsellers all of the time.
And I kinda geuss I try to look for underrated,or unkown gem books.

I know what you mean. I'm the same way with music. When I find something I like that not everyone knows about, it feels more personal! :)

Right now, it is so hopeful, but it may take a turn. I am kinda braving myself for that.
Good to know Dixie. Thanks for the update. I will let you know my final thoughts on Bruiser! I only have 1 CD to listen to left.
Hope you enjoy it Tammy. I am afraid to try that series because I was not a fan of her writing in the MI series but I was told that series is better.
Just finished Bruiser and enjoyed it over all. I thought the ending was too rushed and open ended for my tastes but I enjoyed the other 90% of it.

Glad you ladies love it. Does she (Clare) get overly wordy and over use the similes like she did in MI?? That is a major pet peeve of mine.

Oh, I love The Chronicles of Prydain. They get better as you go along except that I had trouble getting into the fourth one. Maybe because there wasn't the group of friends going around and helping/annoying each other.
I finished up the
. I really, really enjoyed the King of Attolia. If you have read the other two, I would definitely recommend continuing the series. It's one of those that you read parts over again after you know the ending so that you can see how the author sets everything up without spoon-feeding the reader.
Finished reading
which was enjoyable enough,
which I really liked (the mystery to it was good) and
which had some flaws, but I liked well enough. Now rereading
