Finished re-reading:

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater

And loved it even more the second time! Naturally I am now re-reading:

The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater

I also finally started:

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #1) by Ransom Riggs

I know I'm a month late for the group read, but better late than never I guess. :P

I am interested in your thoughts Brigid. If you like it I might give it another try on audio as that has helped me with other books in the past.

Karen’s Library | 574 comments I'm slowly getting through Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi . It's not fiction so I'm not able to zip right through it. But the subject matter is really interesting. I had no idea how bad it was in Tehran!

I just finished reading...

Reboot (Reboot, #1) by Amy Tintera

It wasn't what I expected, not really my cup of tea and I don't know if I would want to read the next book.

James D | 1 comments I'm reading The Fault in Our Pants A Parody of "The Fault in Our Stars" by Steve Lookner after reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Su Williams (suwilliams) | 3 comments Just finished 'The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea' by JL Murray. Awesome, but I expected no less from her after 'Jenny Undead'. Now I'm a quarter way through a book I can't remember how I found, called 'Nightmare City' by Jack Connor. 2 thumbs up so far.

Karen’s Library | 574 comments Okay ladies, I just watched Outlander on Starz (I have on demand and realized I could "download" and watch early!) and ohmygawd!! I really liked it and whoever it is that plays Jamie(?), squeeeee, he is swoontastic!! Now I have to read the books!

message 7265: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie speaking of watching things, I just finished s2 of Game of Thrones and immediately ordered s3 off ebay! SO PUMPEDDDD.

James that parody name cracked me up. Karen I don't have Starz so might have to wait on the show but am interested to hear how people like it.

It gets better, Ashley, but prepare yourself for the famous, traumatic Red Wedding scene at the end of S3. Ashamed to say, I wimped out and had to leave the room. S4 was equally brilliant. Enjoy! - Wendy

Has anybody watched Divergent? Any feedback?

message 7269: by Kristen (new)

Kristen Taber | 506 comments Bluemoon wrote: "Has anybody watched Divergent? Any feedback?"

I haven't. I was kind of warned away from it by too many people. I haven't read the books yet because someone spoiled the ending and I just can't work up th will yet! Let me know what you think of the movie if you watch it.

message 7270: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 6961 comments Mod
Darren let me know your thoughts on Looking for Alaska. Bluemoon I was not a fan of Divergent so have not watched the movie.

message 7271: by W.J. (new)

W.J. Lennox | 48 comments The Hunger Games I know... I know I'm so late for the party the empty bottles have already been recycled, but thought it was about time I read The Hunger Games Trilogy. Drawn in immediately. Half way through the first book, and I can see why it was so popular - original premise, gritty storyline, realistic, likeable character and so well written. Kicking myself for not reading it sooner.

I read the book and watched the movie. I didn't really know what to expect, but the movie is just as awful as the book.

Anyways, I just finished reading...
Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys

I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down! I don't know what to say without giving anything away, but it did break my heart! I'm glad you guys recommended it for the around the world.

Now reading...
Blue is for Nightmares (Blue is for Nightmares, #1) by Laurie Faria Stolarz

I really don't know what to think of this book. I've read it awhile back and now that I'm re-reading it I can safely say that my taste in books have increased in style significantly!

I have not. The cover art is pretty and I love the idea of creepy faeries and the book sounds interesting, but I have to cringe at someone who uses the name "Creepy Hollow". I may look into it eventually though.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments Finished reading Brewand it is SO GOOD!!!! Very dark, but lots of LOL parts! Seriously, there is one joke that had me laughing so hard it hurt!

Also finished Night of Cake & Puppets (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2.5) by Laini Taylor And really enjoyed reading about Mik and Zuzana's first date! Very sweet and so them!

Also finished Conversion by Katherine Howe and it wasn't what I thought it was going to be, but I ended up enjoying it for the historical factor and the suspense/mystery.

Now reading Through the Zombie Glass (White Rabbit Chronicles, #2) by Gena Showalter and liking it so far!
