It depends on a lot of things like the size of text/pages, length of chapters, how interested I am, etc. ... But I'd say I read somewhere between 80-100 pages an hour, usually. (Out of those 8 hours I was probably only reading for like 3 or 4 of them, if that's what you were wondering about.)

Impressive, truly. That's about 350 words a minute on the low end :).
Yay! Wasn't Cress the best Brigid! I enjoyed it from the start to the end. How does she write all these different characters and make them all so different and awesome!?

Yes it was so great! :D I'm also really impressed with how there are so many characters and they're all so likable.

I really need to move this series up on my list. Everyone has been raving about it for so long, I feel like I'm completely missing out!
Jenny I have Partials (book 1) to listen to still. I am hoping I like it!
I am listening to The Shadow Throne
- super excited to see how it all ends!

I am listening to The Shadow Throne

The library just let me know that The Shadow Throne is ready for pick up. Yeah!!

I have a book I'm reading for a friend and then the June book. After that, I'll make sure to read this series. :)

I had thyroid cancer a few years ago (not as bad as Hazel's), so that part was a little harder for me, particularly since I always worry it'll come back.
I don't know how a story can make me think how beautiful and sucky life is at the exact same time, but this one did it.
AGH! No way to really describe it. Just go see it and bring lots of tissues.
Oooh I'm really glad to hear the movie is good because I've been kind of on the fence about whether I should see it. I hope you enjoy the book! And yikes, that's scary about the thyroid cancer but I'm glad you're okay now. *Hugs*
Great to hear Kristen! I am waiting for DVD then so I can bawl in the fetal position in my own home!

Now today it will be back to my other reads...I have a huge book hangover from Slip, though!

@Jenny, I'm at 69% on the ARC of Slip and I completely 100% agree with you!!!

My husband didn't want to see it, so I took a friend. He thought it looked like a "chick flick", which is partly true, but not at the same time. It's definitely one that will bring up a lot of discussion.
He and I have had some of those talks, because of my cancer (and the brain aneurysms shortly before), but this was a great reminder.
I'd gush, but I'm still having trouble finding the right words. My feelings are so tangled and I can't quite figure out which thread to pull first to unravel them. Hopefully that made sense.
Acting is phenomenal, btw.

I think my husband will, too. I didn't really know what the book was about before going, but now that I do, I know he'll appreciate it.
Glad you survived! Definitely remaps your perspective.
Oh my husband is going no where near that movie! He won't watch anything like that with me. If he did he would just make fun of it the entire time and irritate me!

That would irritate me too! Is he more of an action flick type? (not that I'm not a huge action fan :))

sounds like my man lol, he's mostly into old Eastwood westerns and things like that -- although he did like the Wolverine Origins movie last summer. might drag him to the new Xmen soon. but if he watches TFIOS it'll be because I rented/bought it, he'd never pick that up himself.
I make sure to only watch stuff like TFIOS when he is not home or upstairs reading because he will ask me snarky questions about it the whole time! Oh well. I am used to him. I would rather cry in peace :) My husband did like both the new Star Trek movies but for some reason doesn't get into X-Men. I liked the first 2-3 X-Men movies.

I made my husband take me to a Harry Potter movie every year for several years in a row for my birthday. They were always released for the holidays and my birthday is in Dec. so it worked out! He actually seemed to like them! I made him to to LOTR as well but he was not as into that :)

I have yet to finish the HP movie series.

We can't all be cool ubergeeks ;).
Good to know Jenny. I snatched that up this week as well. I won't get to it for awhile though. I love those free audiobooks every summer! They are awesome.
You just go to the site and download the book Kristen! It is awesome and free. I download mine into my Overdrive counsel on my PC but you can download it onto other programs as well. There are two free YA books per week - one a classic and one a contemporary. Here is the website http://www.audiobooksync.com/ You can check out the entire schedule of them on there too. I am excited for this years line up. It is just a great offering in general IMO.

Yeah I heard that School Spirits was not as good as Hex Hall. I am kind of on the fence about it.
