I should be finishing up

Shiver is pretty good. It's more of a love story than I thought it was going to be. I guess I expected a bit more conflict or complexity. The Jack part helps a bit. I think it'll be a 3 star one for me. It's not that I don't like it 'cause I do. I am going to take your advice and only read the first one.
Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear :(. I hope you're able to have a quick and thorough recovery :hugs:.

Yeah I agree with your thoughts on the book. The writing is beautiful and I loved the characters more than the story, which was lacking at times. Still worth the read over all. I think you are smart to skip books two and three -- especially three!

There is also a trailer for Divergent ahhh. I was a bit upset with Theo cast as Four but it looks pretty good and they seem to be sticking to the book story line which makes me happy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzVATE...
I think the movie looks promising, but compared to the Book Thief trailer and Catching Fire, it wasn't as good as a trailer. But I like the look of the movie!

Just finished reading
and I loved it, it was a great finale to a really good series! My heart just broke for Adrian! And now I must read the spin off series!

So I finished

and am now almost halfway through and started just after breakfast. I just couldn't stop thinking about all the characters long enough to start another book.
I just finished
by Lauren Conrad this morning, and it was a good conclusion to the L.A. Candy and the Fame Game series that she developed. The characters weren't that relative to every day life, but all in all they were decent enough. Is it a combo series that I would recommend? Speaking of which ... It very much made me sad. But so so good. And so so sad too. Just agggggh. I think I need a break from all the craziness/actionyness/depression. Of the following books, which will calm me down/make me the least sad (aka not depressing or crazy actiony)?
Okay I know that's a lot of options and a lot of you like quite a few of those books, but it would be very helpful if you guys could tell me which one to read for the least amount of heartbreak or intensity!

Almost all those books you listed are very intense or emotional--yes I'd go with Cinder, or maybe The False Prince. The Moon Dwellers is a fantastic book, but it was pretty intense for me!
Heidi-- the big C word is just plain evil isn't it? :( Does your surgeon have a plan yet? :(

Back to books - I have 20 pages of Chris's beta read left and I am thoroughly entertained Chris! I should have my thoughts to you soon! And I am still reading Fire Country David! I told Chris I would try to get the beta read done by 08/31 so I have been reading that right now but I should back to Fire Country tonight!
