David wrote: "Reading The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken right now, off to a pretty good start!"

I liked the first half of that book and then the second half was a bit boring for me. Also the main character kind of drove me nuts. XD It was a decent book over all, though.

Anyway, I finished:

Fablehaven (Fablehaven, #1) by Brandon Mull

And I've started:

All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill

... Which I'm finding very confusing so far, but it's interesting I guess. :P

Amreen | 33 comments I just finished What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1) by Kat Zhang and would be moving on to my next book...if I knew what it was.

I don't know which to read next,I have a whole stack, help me out?

Here are the options:
This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
The Opposite of Tidy by Carrie Mac
Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee
Legend (Legend, #1) by Marie Lu
or
The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater (I received an advance copy)

Thanks!

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments If it was me, I'd read Dream Thieves, just because I'm so excited for it!

Legend is an amazing story, and I liked What Happy Looks Like as well. Haven't read the rest!

The sequel to What's Left of Me is called Once We Were. I'm not sure if it's out yet, though? I got an ARC of it, and I thought it was as good as the first one. :)

And I love Angelfall and The Dream Thieves!

Yes, the sequel is out and I will get around to reading that once I finish all the other books I listed above.

I look forward to reading Angelfall and Dream Theives! :)

OH WOW!!!! It looks brilliantly done! But Death doesn't seem to narrate it...? Still, worth the price of a ticket!

message 5816: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ | 2471 comments Mod
Do not fear, Vered! Markus Zusak wrote a blog post yesterday in which he assures us that Death does narrate the film. It's just not in the trailer I guess ... or on IMDb. (In fact, the IMDb page for it is strangely empty. Huh.)

message 5817: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments I think they are trying to keep us all intrigued as much as possible and not give lots away. I love that, I hate seeing and knowing too much about a movie before I see it.

I just started my first ever beta read of Chris Sorensen's book book Maiden http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/.... Super excited! Also still reading David's book Fire Country Fire Country (The Country Saga, #1) by David Estes and very much enjoying it! I plan to start Magyk Magyk (Septimus Heap, #1) by Angie Sage on audiobook today and am also ready to start Inkspell Inkspell (Inkworld, #2) by Cornelia Funke for our buddy read (listen)!

message 5828: by Katie (new)

Katie (thesassifraskat) I am currently reading Killer by Sara Shepard from the Pretty Little Liars series. The next book after this one, since I am pretty close to being done with it will either be Infamous by Lauren Conrad, or Golden by Jessi Kirby.

I just finished Wicked, another book from the Pretty Little Liars series, and also The Language of Flowers.

I am getting pretty addicted to the Pretty Little Liars series.

The Language of Flowers was awesome and very well written book. I highly recommended it as well!

Katie I read the first PLL book and was kind of turned off by how inappropriate I thought it was for young girls BUT having said that I am totally addicted to the tv series even though it is cheesy as heck!

message 5830: by Katie (new)

Katie (thesassifraskat) Heidi, I haven't seen the PLL show yet. I am just now getting into all of this. But I do agree its inappropriate (the series) for the younger girls though. It seems a little off putting at points with the story line. But its still good and addicting though. I can't seem to put the books down! (If I sounded hypocritical there its because its kind of hard not to be about this series, because of how Sara Shepard writes and all).

I totally get what you are saying Katie! We all have our guilty pleasures! :) I love cozy mysteries for some reason and others might think they are too simple or cheesy!
