That's why I love my kindle so much, I can buy as many as I can afford and not worry about space.

20 boxes? lol. I've moved about 40 from Ohio to Indiana to California back to Indiana to North Carolina and back to Ohio. And I'm about to move them back to Indiana AGAIN. Small boxes, my friend. They weigh less and wear you out less often. : )

The moral of that story? Get tons of people to help you move.

p.s. I also have about 2 boxes now to move from North Carolina back to Indiana in addition to the 40 boxes in Ohio that have to go to Indiana. Sigh. This is what happens with a book-buying addiction . . .

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments Got you both beat, I think I had 80+ boxes of books when we moved in March!

message 5555: by Emma (new)

Emma | 13 comments oh my, I wish i had that many books. I thought about 300 in paperback and 280 on kindle was bad.

Jen (jenwesner) Jenny you definitely win. Hands down! LOL!

message 5558: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments Me too, Karen! Unless of course, I win the lottery and can afford to hire professional movers!

message 5559: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 277 comments most of my boxes of books are like the medium sized plastic tubs 50 quart tubs...

the rest are usually pretty decent sized boxes. And I don't really have people to help me move except my dad and lets just say he is done moving boxes of books since i'm really not supposed to since I have had 4 back surgeries and have permanent back issues and nerve damage ...

message 5560: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 277 comments Also the biggest place I have lived by myself with all the books is about 640 sq feet... so.... yeah. And I have around 200+ books here right now... but this is only like.. 1/4th-1/6th of the books. ._.

message 5561: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 277 comments the 640sq foot place had about 2000 books and it was a little cramped ...

message 5562: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd | 110 comments I hear you all. Not only do I have too many books, but also around 60 boxes of comics I collected over a 30 year period. That is a LOT of paper to move time and time again.

No wonder I am embracing the digital age!

I just said this in David's group too but I seriously had no idea they are post production for the Book Thief movie. Geez the movie rights were sold like 10 years ago and I gave up checking on it a year ago! Looks like there are some good actors in some of the adult roles (a German unknown is playing the lead). I hope they do it justice.

They don't even have a picture of the actor playing Rudy. I guess both of the kids are a bit unknown.

Yup they are unknowns - at least unless you are from Germany!

I am still listening to the 5th Wave The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey on audiobook and am reading two non YA books The Attachments Attachments by Rainbow Rowell because I loved Eleanor and Park so much and Suttree Suttree by Cormac McCarthy because my book snob husband lists it as one of the most unappreciated pieces of fiction written or some such nonsense.

We are starting a buddy read for The Ocean at the End of the Lane The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman and Inkheart Inkheart (Inkworld, #1) by Cornelia Funke soon if anyone wants to join us. I also think there are a few pending people who want to do some buddy reads in the upcoming folder if anyone would like to check it out :)

He is bad Vered. I tried to get him to read The Book Thief and he read like 50 pages and said it was well written but obviously young adult so would not finish it. The only book I have ever gotten him to read and finish was City of Thieves City of Thieves by David Benioff

Jenny GR is acting weird so I can not click on your comment but Attachments is good so far - it reminds me of Holly's Inbox (Holly's Inbox #1) by Holly Denham which I also liked

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 65 comments Also I'm reading Indexing by Seanan McGuire because the other book is an adobe edition e-galley (which means I can't read it at work).

That one looks fun.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 65 comments So far it really is! I like the idea of serialized stories making a comeback (mainly because I like that people can experiment with modes of storytelling).

Let me know if it is worth the read when you are done Cassi! It is not due out until Dec though?? Poo!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 65 comments Indexing? It's being released in sections every week or two (can't remember) that are automatically delivered to your kindle. I think it was only like $2.99.

Wow - now that is book snobbish! I'd never classify Book Thief as obviously and exclusively young adult. Hm. Well, at least you have us.

Chris Sorensen (csorensen) | 39 comments Just finished Ender's Game (Ender's Saga, #1) by Orson Scott Card and enjoyed it and just started Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder , been in my to-read for a while and finally getting around to it.

How was Ender's Game? I really need to read this!

Reading The Testing (The Testing, #1) by Joelle Charbonneau and loving it so far!

Chris Sorensen (csorensen) | 39 comments Jenny wrote: "How was Ender's Game? I really need to read this!"

Jenny - it was good, different. Lots to think about and the dialogue got a little heavy for me sometimes, but I enjoyed it enough to want to read the sequel. Instead of taking up all the space, you can read my review here if you like - http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Loved Poison Study but wasn't as into the rest of the books in the series. I liked Ender's but was not in love with it as nearly the rest of humanity was!

Layton (thunderinourhearts) I'm reading The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa . It's okay so far, just a little cheesy.

That's the reason I've moved it up on my TBR list. I like to try to get a jump start on the monthly reads.

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments And we have a buddy read of Inkheart starting next week, which I need to borrow from the library again. The audio is 14 CD's so I'll probably stick with the print copy.

Becky I actually checked my Overdrive and all they have is the audiobook and it was available so I checked it out. The narrator is Lynn Redgrave and I liked the sample of her that I listened to. So anywho I will be the last one to finish that book since it is so long on audio!

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments I finished reading The Testing (The Testing, #1) by Joelle Charbonneau late last night, and I loved it! It was a good dystopian--kind of a twisted version of the Hunger Games idea, but the MC and other characters were great, and the government is truly evil. Very quick read as well.

Next up is Fyre (Septimus Heap, #7) by Angie Sage
