That's the better way to read them - because after Dwellers, you are going to love Country series! And how they all inter-connect.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments Nope, we haven't started yet David, starting on Monday I think!

I finished The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen and it was good, but not great. Also finished Ashen Winter (Ashfall, #2) by Mike Mullin which was really good, I loved it!

Now reading Wasteland by Susan Kim and its good so far! Tomorrow I'm starting Plague (Gone, #4) by Michael Grant for a buddy read.

This is my second book of hers I've read. I really liked Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen ! So not sure if she's my thing or not. It may be that this book isn't up to her usual standards, I've heard other Dessen fans say that they didn't like The Moon and More as much as her others.

Ok thanks. I think Along for the Ride was the one I tried and wasn't into. I was just wondering if it was the particular book or the actual author that wasn't for me - I think it is the author. Not my style - but a lot of others love her.

Reading Plague (Gone, #4) by Michael Grant and its by far the creepiest of the series yet!

Also hoping to start Towering by Alex Flinn soon!

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments I finished Towering by Alex Flinn and I liked it almost as much as Beastly.

Almost done with Plague (Gone, #4) by Michael Grant

Going to start Vortex (Tempest, #2) by Julie Cross today, I'm extremely late on reading it.

Also starting Looking for Alaska by John Green for another buddy read.

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 277 comments Heidi! I don't think a book has EVER exhausted me like Gone Girl and I am only like 1/3rd done and I am like WTF THIS BOOK.

I'm going to try to take a Gone Girl break and shove in Shivver and Savvy and then go back but I read like 1/3rd of it and then now i just stare at that book and feel like it stares back. I need a break but I am loving it its just exhausting.

Hahahaha - I know the feeling too well! I refuse to read anymore books by that author because it wore me out. I am glad I read it though - it is like a bad relationship or something you know it is bad for you but you keep going back for more!

message 5436: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 277 comments I know myself too well to know I won't read anything else by her. It is so amazing I don't even know how she packs THAT MUCH into the book but its like POW BAM and you are like GOD DID I JUST SPEND 3 DAYS IN A DESERT CRAWLING AROUND *takes nap*

Savvy is delightfully refreshing (as I just quickly read the first chapter between doing my other adult duties. haha )

I feel like I haven't checked this group in forever! Anyway, I am reading:

Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin

I'm not too far into either one yet. I like Game of Thrones so far. But Sisterland is pretty dull, and from what I heard it doesn't get much better ... Hmm.

Amreen | 33 comments I decided to try more comic books since I loved what I read of the Bone series and I'm really loving not only the story but the beautiful illustrations in Mercury by Hope Larson

After that it's All-Star Superman, Vol. 1 by Grant Morrison in honor of the movie that is debuting!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 65 comments Started The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay which is RANDOMLY the 3rd book in a row with dual POVs which I'm not really in the mood for right now. But a netgalley glitch has thrown me off and I'm waiting for them to email me back.

I think you should try them out. I just finished Mercury, it only took me 2 hours at the max. If you're looking for a quick, easy, read you should definitely pick up a comic book! Plus most of the time the artwork is absolutely gorgeous :)

My son read most of the Bone books. He also loves the Amulet books. He's 8 but reads at a 6th grade level. Is the content in Mercury by Hope Larson OK for a younger reader?

Uh oh ... haha. XD Well I already ordered the second book from eBay (and noticed it's more than 1000 pages, yikes). But I'm hoping to make it through the whole series.
