Glad to hear you're enjoying it! At this point like half of my family has read at least parts of the book (all of us who are like, over the age of 14, haha). And we've had a lot of interesting discussions about it. Ah haha I scored even higher on the quiz thing, I think something like 17 or 18.

Ok I love Goodreads even more today! I was looking at the book The Blue Castle The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery because I read it years ago when I went through my Anne of Green Gables fascination and I loved it and I noticed a link to download ebook so I clicked on it and it gave me the ebook for free! WHAT!? I am super excited! You rock Goodreads!

Thanks guys! The ironic thing is I was looking to buy the kindle book of it and their is no kindle version! Weird! Has anyone else ever got a free book on GR like that?? Now I wonder if I have been missing out!

message 5374: by Becky (new)

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments I've seen it before but haven't actually downloaded it. I bet most of the classics can be had this way and sometimes an author will have a promotion going.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 65 comments Almost done with Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver . I'm not even sure when I bought this ebook...but I can almost guarantee it was a random Amazon sale. Those get me EVERY time.

Nope. As an author I have the option of uploading my ebooks to GRs but I've never tried it :)

Almost done with:

The End Games by T. Michael Martin

It's been a struggle for me. For some reason I've just found it really difficult to get into. I think the style just really doesn't work for me.

Anyway, after I'm done I'm going to start my ARC of:

Once We Were (The Hybrid Chronicles, #2) by Kat Zhang

Woot woot!

message 5383: by Vered (new)

Vered (vered_ehsani) Hey gang, just got back from Croatia and trying to catch up with life (ugh), including writing reviews for the various books I read in airports and planes (big YEAH for Kindle!):

( Water & Storm Country (The Country Saga, #3) by David Estes - awesome!
The Moon Dwellers (The Dwellers, #1) by David Estes - pretty good, but not as good as the Country series books (I'm guessing you wrote the Dwellers series first, David?)

Moon Dance (Vampire for Hire, #1) by J.R. Rain - although I am tired of the vampire genre, this was a really fun re-look at vampires, from a mom's perspective!
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency (No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency #1) by Alexander McCall Smith - beautifully written, loved it

Cassidy Jones and the Seventh Attendant (Cassidy Jones Adventures, #3) by Elise Stokes - I really like this series - middle grade, original and very well written

I guess I lucked out with my books on this trip, 'cause I enjoyed them all.

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments I'm reading too many books right now. I think Inkheart (Inkworld, #1) by Cornelia Funke just messed me up because it's a lot longer than I was expecting when I picked up the audio book. I've switched to the paperback but it's still gonna take awhile. I think it may be put on hold while I do our On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta buddy read.
