What is that about??"
A foster kid gets a scholarship to a ritzy private high school, only when a arrives, there are no adults and he's locked in. There are video camera and rules and punishments for breaking the rules. So far it's alright, I'm interested in who's behind it all I guess. Only 20% in so far :)
Almost done with:
I really enjoyed the first half of it, but the second half has been a bit rough for me. Also the main character gets on my nerves, but most of the other characters are pretty cool.

Oh oh.. What'd I miss. How do I find it?? :-P

David, TRUST ME... You MUST read it!! :)

And no, I don't think The Book Thief is it...yet.
Such sweet agony!
Finished:
I liked it for the most part ... but it got a bit boring in the second half.
Started:
I'm already like 3/4 of the way through it. I think it's really cool so far. :)
And I'm still working on:
Although I have to read it on my computer, so that kinda sucks.

I'm probably going to step away from YA for a bit. I've been having a great time re-reading

Sookie is not YA to me - very mature but you can list any book you are reading on here YA or adult! I have not read Skulduggery but think that is considered YA. And welcome welcome btw!

Judging from the subject matter, I'm sure I will! Looks really good.

I'm currently reading Annabel Pitcher, 'Ketchup Clouds' (dunno how to embed the picture in the thread on my phone!) not so sure about it, the story is pretty good but I have issues with the fact that its being told as a letter but it's freakishly well-written and then there are a few teenage-isms thrown in...might be changing my time by the end though as I'm only 30% in.
Also reading Michael Grant, 'Gone' have given up after 2% when I realised what would happen to nursing babies if it was real (the mammy in me was very upset), it's an alright concept so I will be back to it!
Just finished the first 3 of Robert Muchamore's Cherub series - Love them!! and 'Level 2' by Lenore Applehans-wasn't feeling the love for this one!
I'm sure I'm too new to have missed any John Green love-fest but read 'The fault in my stars' and 'Looking for Alaska' recently and they are fantastic. Would highly recommend them!

LOVED Will Grayson and Fault in Our Stars - John Green rocks. I read the first two Gone books and IMO they get even more disturbing. I could not invest myself into a 6 book series (at least not that one) so I stopped.

I know a lot of Gone series lovers. It was just not a subject/series I could see reading 6 books about but that is not to say it was bad - just not for me :) I skipped Matched because a lot of people told me I would not like it -- hope you like it though :)

What kinds of books do you like?

I haven't read Will Greyson, another one for the 'to-read' list.

I just finished reading

Heck no! My LEAST favorite genre is YA paranormal - to be honest I kind of hate it and thanks to Twilight that is the majority of YA books now! I like a good dystopian book but since Hunger Games came out there are also a lot of subpar dystopian books too IMO (Chaos Walking being the exception as well as fellow group member David's Country series). I like some fantasy - but it has to be well rounded. I am kind of rambling here but I guess most of my favorite books are more realistic fiction. To be honest if a book is well written I don't care what genre it is! I don't like dumbed down fiction and get sad when subpar writers sell millions of books when less well known better writers have to work second jobs to pay the bills. How about you?? Any favorites??

I read the first Tomorrow book and wasn't quite hooked - does it get better with each book? Have you read Chaos Walking? I highly recommend Will Grayson - it does have a few gay characters and some foul language but that doesn't bother me.

When you say realistic fiction, do you mean like boy in the striped pajamas realistic or something else?
It is impossible for me to have a Fav. Book but I have a few top series namely, Artemis Fowl Vampire Academy, Percy Jackson, Elemental Assassin and a couple others.
While YA- paranormal isn't my Favourite, I do enjoy it from time to time. While I do agree with you about the subpar books, some really cool series have come about from following book writing trends (with the exception of Vampire Diaries. That series should be ripped up and left to burn, Burn, BURN. Sorry. I just really don't like that series.)

Hahaha - no need to be sorry here! I love to hear other peoples opinions. Sometimes it seems like everyone is just so darn agreeable! Seems like you are into the fantasy genre with your picks. Realistic fiction to me is On the Jellicoe Road
The Book Thief
The Boyfriend List: 15 Guys, 11 Shrink Appointments, 4 Ceramic Frogs and Me, Ruby Oliver
The Fault in Our Stars
- I loved all of those
