I just listed an eBook giveaway in the AUTHORS > Authors Info thread. From what I've read I think that's the correct place to post it. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

I enjoy reading YA books although most of them have the similarities. Twilight killed my reading joy for a while but i recovered.
I enjoy reading the Chronicles of Vladimir Todd, Harry Potter, and Rick Riordan's books.
I'm opened to recommendations. I hear the Hunger Games are awfully good/

haha my sister is a twilight freak -.- imagine living with her...
so what is the hunger games about?
Um...the HG games is hard to describe because by the book description I actually put off reading it because it sounded like nothing I would like. It is basically a dystopian novel about a young girl in a futuristic world with a gladiator type celebration - except instead of adult male gladiators the participants are all under 18 yoa. It is an action book.
p.s. sorry about your luck with your sisters taste in books. I am hoping all the Twlilight hype dies down once the horrid Breaking Dawn movies are released. I think it is already being replaced by Mortal Instruments fans, unfortunatley for me I don't like that series either!

Bluemoon wrote: "Twilight wasn't so bad. I think if they compressed all four books into a trilogy I think it would have been a bit better. I just found that some parts of the series was unnecessary...like the whole..."
Yeah, pretty much. There's a lot that could have been taken out; there's a lot of filler in all the books. Especially the fourth one.

LAURIE: Oh great, you are in time for Blood Red Road. Its also a dystopia novel and it is our August read ^_^"
Thats Great I'm so excited! I already looked it up on amazon to get.

Last year my students introduced me to the Hunger Games trilogy, which I loved. At the moment I have just finished The Pillars of the Earth, and am about to start The Help, but the muse has struck and I'm busy working on a new novel. Speaking of which, I will get back to work.
I look forward to hearing your suggestions for must reads!
PS. I welcome new friends who share my reading interests.
Welcome Shawn! I am an admult who prefers YA so you are not alone. p.s. The Help is one of my favorite books ever.

for some suggestions. I have way too many to list here. And several of my students got me hooked with Twilight and the Hunger Games.

I really like your school librarian blog! I'm going to send that link to my high school librarian and friendly English teachers and see if it sparks any ideas. I have a school website, but I think I will just link my Goodreads profile up to it. I have enough to update with my daily author blog.
Students made me read Twilight and the Hunger Games as well. No regrets! ;-P

I just started a blog to help me work out my feelings about the books I'm reading and discuss books with, well, myself! HA! If anyone wants to check it out and give me some feedback or follow me here's the link http://literary-exploration.blogspot.... I'm exciting to discuss Blood Red Road!!

Haha I probably will in a couple months, I always binge on genres and then find something new to get into.

Me too ... except I did like Divergent and Blood Red Road.
And of course, as always, Chaos Walking! <3
