Finished Poison Study - Maria V. Snyder this morning in the bath and have just finished a review of Morningside - Ashley Madau. Now I'm going to dip into Succubus Revealed - Richelle Mead as well as reading Reflected in You - Sylvia Day.

Cast in Moonlight, a prequel to the Chronicles of Elantra series. Enjoying it so far. Also, still reading The Swerve: How the World Became Modern, for a group read.
I finished reading
by Christopher Ransom this morning. This book was one of the worst horror novels I've read in my entire life. It wasn't even the slightest bit scary. The author's writing style is terrible and I felt like most of the book was written by a horny 12-year-old. The whole plot was confusing and I disliked all the characters. I ended up not really caring what happened to any of them. This book is definitely one to avoid. Now I'm about to begin
by Stephen King.
I just finished
by Stephen King earlier today and I absolutely loved it. I'm a huge fan of Stephen King and The Green Mile has got to be one of the best novels he has ever written. In fact, it's one of the best novels I have ever read in my entire life. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down! It is very beautifully written and extremely moving at times. The plot is original, gripping and heart-breaking. I'd give this book more than five stars if I could! My full review is here. Now I'm about to start
by Shirley Jackson.
Will finish Reflected in You - Sylvia Day today and then maybe start Bad Blood: A Vampire Thriller - J.R. Rain
I just finished reading The Giver, Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Son. Now I'm reading The Strain by Guillermo del Toro because I love del Toro. Sadly the book was pretty dull for the first 33% but it started to pick up and I'm hoping it will continue with that trend - if it doesn't, I might not bother with finishing the trilogy!I am absolutely loving reading on my Paperwhite.
Jean M. AuelIt's a slow read Don't know if I can finish it. It gets into too much detail about pre Neanderthall life and slow action.
Earlier, I finished reading
by Shirley Jackson. I was disappointed by this book to be honest. I felt the novel did not live up to the reputation it has gotten. I just felt like it was missing something. Plus I disliked all the characters and the strange dialogue between them really annoyed me. This is one novel where the movie, or in this case movies, are better than the book. My full review is here.Next I'm going to read
by Anne Rice.
Shadow of Freedom, the latest in David Weber's Honorverse series. This is an eARC copy. Publication date is not until March 2013.

Earlier today, I finished reading
by Anne Rice. The Witching Hour is an extremely long novel, 1207 pages, but don't let that put you off reading as once you open the first page you soon find yourself completely absorbed in the chilling tale of the Mayfair Witches. This novel has a spellbinding, engrossing, well-written tale with complex and mysterious characters. There are plenty of compelling twists and turns in the plot to keep you interested and the suspense is drawn out to perfection. The novel is completely unpredictable, I found the ending to be quite a shock! My full review can be found here. Now, I'm about to start
by Washington Irving and
by Mary Shelley.
I'm reading
by Norman Vincent Peale. I originally read it 30 years ago, and I'm dipping into it again. Some timeless wisdom there.
I finished The Long Walk by Stephen King yesterday and loved it. I was about 50 pages from the end when my Paperwhite arrived and had to try it out, of course, and finished it. Now I'm reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. I'm liking it so far. I would really just love to not do anything but read on my wonderful new Kindle this weekend. Obligations, why?
I just finished The Private Games by James Patterson. 100% recomended . Very good crime on holiday's days.
The Beautiful Mystery, by Louise Penny. Really interesting. It's the first of the series I've read. Now I've got to back to book #1. Love a series, don't you?
Earlier I finished reading
by Mary Shelley. This novel turned out to be nothing like what I was expecting. I was expecting a generic horror story about a monster but what I got was so much more complex, it's actually quite a philosophical story really. I was extremely surprised and impressed by the actual story itself. I really enjoyed this book and I'm happy I finally got around to reading this classic. My full review is here. I'm planning to read
by Janet Evanovich next.
About half way through The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Stayed up way too late last night devouring it.Absolutely love it. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally read it.

"Susanne, what do you think of the book? It's been on TBR list for a while but I haven't gotten around to it quite yet.
I finished reading
by Janet Evanovich this morning. Stephanie's adventures still make me laugh after 11 novels. There are so many hilarious and witty scenes in this book. But I have to admit I was a bit annoyed by Stephanie in this book. I just wish she'd finally choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger! http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...Now I'm reading
by Kate Morton.
I just finished reading what's been published so far of the demon accords series (4 books) the first book is God Touched I was a bit shocked by how much I enjoyed these books and it reminds me how I keep finding self published authors who have books just as enjoyable as any formally published novels.
Currently reading Hounded - so far it's good but not finished yet.
I am not sure if I mentioned this, but I have more than quadrupled the amount I read because of my Kindle. LOVE it.
Esse wrote: "Susanne, what do you think of the book? It's been on TBR list for a while but I haven't gotten around to it quite yet.."I've just started it, but what I've read so far, I've enjoyed. It's an interest concept. I decided to read it because a friend of mine ABSOLUTELY LOVES the entire series.
Now if I just didn't have a kagillion library books and a book club book, I'd be able to start on it again.
