Last week I read Zane Grey's "Riders of the Purple Sage" and this week I am about 20% into "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" by Vicente Blasco Ibanez.

I'm reading Dying for a Dance Humorous mystery by Cindy Sample. Fun, funny read w/light romance and a mystery.
This morning I finished Quenched - Z.L. Arkadie. Now I am going to carry on the saga with The Fifth Sister, A Paranormal Romance - Z.L. Arkadie.
I've finished reading Island of Lost Girls by Jennifer McMahon and now I'm a couple of chapters into Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James.

I love Calibre. It's really a great help.
Steph
Thanks Ellie. What I really like about Calibre is that some Amazon Kindle books are poorly formated, but generally, if I buy an epub or an html and sideload it using Calibre the formating is spot on.Smiles
Steph
Me too. I buy most of my ebooks in epub format from other sites (because they tend to be cheaper than the US Amazon site which is outrageously expensive in my opinion) and convert them into mobi's to read on my Kindle.
I just finished The Unsaid: A Novel by Neil Abramson. It's one of the best books I've read in years. It's for those who have had a connection with animals--althugh the story and the writing make it a good read for any fiction reader. I can't review it until my book group meets, but if you want to read a good book...
Ellie wrote: "Me too. Which sites? Amazon price-matches every legal site in the USA including the publishers' own sites. So, are you in fact getting your books from pirate sites?
Hi guys, newbie here. Do any of you Kindle lovers use Amazon Prime? Is it worth the $75 they charge? I don't own a Kindle yet but it's on my birthday list! Cheers Andrew Monk
I use Kindle Prime, but not for books. I use it for movies and TV shows, as an alternative to Netflix. I'm not sure you gain that much value with respect to books, except for the free loaners.
Thanks Betsy, so I take it that you don't use the ebook loaner system on Amazon Prime? Cheers Andrew Monk
I haven't yet. I keep telling myself I need to look into it, but I'm such a creature of habit, I just tend to buy books I'm interested in. In fact, I'm still having trouble remember to download samples. As for whether it's worth it, I decided it was since it was cheaper than Netflix.
Just finished The Fifth Sister, A Paranormal Romance - Z.L. Arkadie. Now I am about to start Enchantment - Charlotte Abel.
I've finished reading Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James earlier today and now I've started The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

On this side of the world, books are a lot cheaper, sometimes half the American prices when you convert the dollars into euros.
Andrew wrote: "Hi guys, newbie here. Do any of you Kindle lovers use Amazon Prime? Is it worth the $75 they charge? I don't own a Kindle yet but it's on my birthday list! Cheers Andrew Monk" I'd be interested in the answer, too. Is it worth it for the movies?Steph
Hi Guys, just an update on Amazon prime. I got to play with a friends kindle yesterday to see if I could borrow the book I wanted and found out that the lending service is only available to U.S. citizens. Since I live in Australia that isn't much good to me! Oh well kindles area still cool anyway.
I've finished reading The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne this morning and now I'm about to start Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner.
Stephanie wrote: "Is [Amazon Prime] worth it for the movies."It depends on how much you watch, I suppose. Most, not all, movies and tv shows are free to stream, but if you want to download them for later offline viewing you pay a small amount, similar to Kindle books. It's cheaper than Netflix.
I've finished Enchantment - Charlotte Abel. Now I think I will read This Devil's Dice - Jackson Spence.
Decided to have a bit of fun reading Fifty Shades of Garbage - Allie Beck. See if this is any fun lol xThere she sat, the coffee cup half full and likely cold, gripping that damn book again. Joe had come home from work for three days in a row now this week to find Marcia sitting on the couch, legs curled under her, the dim light of the end table lamp casting a glow on her enthralled form, reading a book with a necktie on it.
Finished Fifty Shades of Garbage - Allie Beck. In my opinion, was funny when you saw some parts like Fifty Shades of Grey but, near the end was boring.
I wish Kindle ebooks are setup in a way that when you open the ebook the first time you'll see the book cover.
Couldn't get into This Devil's Dice - Jackson Spence. So I decided to read my dad's friend's 2 books which are Three's Company & Mid Life Crisis - William Mwendwa.
Currently enjoying The Man From U.N.D.E.A.D. - The Curious Case Of The Kidnapped Chemist. Then I need to get caught up on an ever-increasing stack of paper books...
Andrew wrote: "Hi guys, newbie here. Do any of you Kindle lovers use Amazon Prime? Is it worth the $75 they charge? I don't own a Kindle yet but it's on my birthday list! Oh and I am reading Wuthering Heights.
I've just finished reading Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner and I'm planning on starting Hard Eight by Janet Evanovich next.
Over the past couple of days I have read and finished Mid Life Crisis - William Mwendwa and Three's Company - William Mwendwa. Now I am reading Taken - Charlotte Abel.
Just finished
. I think it was the best holocaust novel I have read as the focus was on the German people watching it happen.
Always the Wedding Planner, Never the Bride by Sandra Bricker. I've read 3 others by her and was not disappointed by any of them.
This evening I finished Taken - Charlotte Abel and have to wait til September to read the finale and find out what happens next lol. Now I am reading Ignite - Z.L. Arkadie which is book 5 of the series.
I've finished Hard Eight by Janet Evanovich and now I've started The Lost Daughter by Diane Chamberlain.
Cut the Cord: All You Need to Know to Drop Cable. Just started it so I can't review yet, but it's very short. Also reading Scout Force, which is the first of a new space opera series, recommended to me by Amazon. This is a first novel, so it may be a little risky.
I am reading 11/22/1963 by Stephen King. Having it in e book format is very convenient, since the book is about 850 pages.
I've finished reading The Lost Daughter by Diane Chamberlain earlier today and now I'm about 40 pages into Stolen: A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher.
The Island of Whispers Animal fiction - people say like Watership Down but I say more like Duncton Wood. 99c and a great yarn. I walked to work with the Kindle in front of my eyes - but then I always do that. No accidents yet to the Kindle.
I've finished reading by Stolen: A Letter to My Captor Lucy Christopher and now I'm a few chapters into Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith.
I'm in the middle of Catching Moondrops by Jennifer Erin Valent it's the third book in a trilogy. The first book Fireflies in December was a free book. I have loved all of the books; excellent writer.
Yesterday I finished My Husband's On Facebook! Unpublished - Richard Parise. Last night I started My Husband's On Facebook! - Unpublished -Richard Parise.
