I'm reading
by Elaine Cantrell. I won this in a blog hop and I'm really enjoying it! I highly recommend.

I've just finished 'The picture of Dorian Gray' by Oscar Wilde as part of the gothic/horror genre read. Having given up on Dracula I found this much more readable, if a little 'highbrow' at times. Just deciding what takes my fancy next. A lighter read I think.
I haven't touched my kindle in weeks thanks to a new job and crazy life. I actually went on it today. It didn't work so I went on the Amazon website and saw that you could do a hard reset - did it and found EVERYTHING TO BE WIPED.Took another 5minutes for everything to come back. I am not ashamed to admit that I was in tears. I have like 2000+ books/samples on my kindle all organised perfectly - which took hours. ahhh.
Anyway. I finished the second Darren Shan book (it took me ages) and I started Colour of Magic the other day. First TP book and so far it has done nothing but confuse the hell out of me. Too many names and bits of information to remember. But enjoyable all the same

I would've been laying in the floor sobbing as though I lost my best friend!!! :)
I remember in the very first week of arrival of my kindle it went blank and I was in tears as well. Thanks to help desk they simply tought me how reset and it was back in life. God knows how grateful I was to the help desk.
And now I can't imagine being without it....
I have so many books lined up on my Kindle. I'm starting this weekend Getting To Happy by Terry McMillan and Scadalicous by Allison Hobbs.
Just finished Mudbound from the library ebooks and have started Walking on Broken Glass which was an Amazon freebee
I'm about a third into Fortress of Dragons. Finished two books Friday and they are back to front on my shelf - annoying.
Merci wrote: "I remember in the very first week of arrival of my kindle it went blank and I was in tears as well."The more books you have loaded, the longer the reset takes because the device has to rebuild the index tables.
Just finished Cast in Ruin, seventh in the Chronicles of Elantra. Excellent. Just started America Aflame, a history of American civil war, which sounds frighteningly like our current situation.
I am very excited. I finally came up to the top of the library loan list!A Dance With Dragons - George R.R. Martin
Getting ready for
so reading along with some friends on another site Parts of
And the Lord John Series By Diana Gabaldon
The Hounds of Baskerville, nice choice for Halloween since I've red Dracula and Frankenstein the past two halloweens :-)
Currently I'm reading Walking on Broken Glass which is very good, The One You Love which I've barely started and am waiting on a library ebook The Bird Sisters.
All the books I've been wanting to read for a long time. The Tiger's Wife, The Language of Flowers, and several self- published. Enjoyed Karen McQuestion's books.
Right now I'm reading my own book, Embattled, which just came out. Next on the list - The Cat's Table. Darlene Jones, Author
I am reading another "free" Kindle book, "A Girl of the Limberlost" by Gene Stratton-Porter, and in spite of it being written for teenage girls, as I now understand it, I am enjoying it very much. With so many free classics out there there is no reason for me to go into debt buying $14 new books.
I'm going through the True Blood series right now. Pure pure brain candy. I think the overdose of sugar has affected my thinking. grin.
I'm reading Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins. Clever, bouncing prose that borders on poetry at times. Very entertaining read. Not crazy about the ebook formatting on this one. Paragraphs running together and such. When they charge as much as the paperback for the virtual copy, they should make it look right. Also reading Angelfall by Susan Ee. Independent YA, post apocalyptic America where the apocalypse in question was brought about by marauding Angels. Ee is a very good writer. This book has the feel of Hunger Games and (so far at least) compares very favorably.
I just finished My Memories of a Future Life. Really funky - and good. It's both literary and a tiny bit sci-fi with a premise unlike anything else I've come across - what if you were the past life of someone else? One of those, "Damn, I wish I had thought of that!"
Going to read Come Back to Me (Reed) next.
In case anyone was waiting for them, the Pliocene Saga books by Julian May (all but the 3rd) are out in eBook now! Links aren't working just yet, but if you search for Many Colored Land on Amazon you'll find the Kindle version. :) Listening to the first one on audio and have been loving it.
I am currently reading The Stand I'm at 11%, it's great! :D I *love* that book!!
I'm reading Under Witch Moon. So far, it is an excellent urban fantasy that takes place in the southwest. Very enjoyable.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I first started it last year, but couldn't get into it. Then a few days ago, when I was looking for something to read I decided to try again. Think I might make it through this time.
100 Mistakes That Changed History - Bill FawcettThank goodness this is a library book. Rambles on and on and on ... surely there were mistakes more recently than ancient Rome ...
I just started Sleepless by Thomas Fahy. I am not far enough into it to judge but it seems like it will be interesting.
Back to reading Captain Blood but this time on my Touch and not just the Kindle for PC App. Love the way the two sync up!

Thin..."Betsy, I waited a long time before reading that book too. I kept seeing it on the best seller list but didn't think I would like it. I had a hard time getting into it at first as the financial back story was a slow start. But, as soon as Lisbeth was introduced I was hooked and read all three books in succession. We also rented the Sweedish movies and watched those.
I am currently reading The Hunger Games. This is another series that I have avoided and now want to see what the book is about.

"My sister told me the same thing. I cant spare the money now so I will have to wait on this one. Maybe someone will give me Amazon bucks for Christmas.
I'm reading Harlan Coben's Live Wire and finding it to be very enjoyable. Now I'll have to go back and catch up on the other nine books in the series that preceded it!
