I've just started reading the 2nd book in a series by Peter v. Brett called The Desert Spear. The first book is The Warded Man, if you are in the US, but for some reason it is the Painted Man in the UK.
Another wonderful fantasy series that I would highly recommend to anyone except if you don't read series until they are finished.

I'm working on A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller Jr. at the moment, for a different book group. It's going really slowly, because the religious stuff just doesn't do it for me, but I'm almost there!

Coming up after that are Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson (for yet another group) and Changeless by Gail Carriger (loved the first one, despite the time period that I usually despise), since those two are due back to the library in about a week and a half.

Just finsihed Daemon and Freedom which i liked a lot. Then Dresden files Changes looks like another good story arc in the making. Now plowing through the Empire of Back and Gold which I have enjoyed. Next is Dwarves which I am hoping is good.

I just started reading Daemon by Daniel Suarez. After Leo Laporte, Tom Merritt and everyone else recommended it I had to read it. Unfortunately it was not available on audible.com, since I don't live in the US, so I am reading the paperback.

I've gone through the first 5 books of the Ender Saga so far, they're all excellent. My suggestion for you would be to read them in order of publication, I listened to Xenocide first and liked it, but really should have listened in order of pub, I would have enjoyed Xenocide much more.

I became curious after I read this post and picked up the first book for my kindle. Finished it in a day. Loved it! Thanks for pointing it out.

I've started the Area 51 series. So far a light escapist read while I focus on all the new hotness of Office & Sharepoint 2010. The first and second books were one night reads (each), and I like the tie-ins to the whole UFO tin foil hat conspiracy folks.

I just finished reading The Hunger Games. It was a very easy read, rated grade 7 and up but I really enjoyed the fast paced action. Now i have to read the next two in the series.

Just finished Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy. Great story, interesting characters. It's nice to see something that is a bit different from the norm. I can see why Sanderson was chosen to finish up WOT series.

Next up: The Good, the Bad, and the Uncanny by Simon R. Green. This is the 10th book in the Nightside series. I highly recommend this author if you are looking for quick and entertaining read. Simon's always been great for taking a break between all of the darn trilogies I seem to read.

Hmm I guess I am reading a few different things right now, having finished a few books recently. I finished Bitter Seeds on the Kindle and a mystery/thriller called Move to Strike on audio.

I've moved on to The Hunger Games on the Kindle (enjoying it so far, but only 2 chapters in) and The Beekeeper's Apprentice on audio (not sure I dig the nararator but was very intrigued by Veronica's previous recommendation and then the recent interview...). I'm also reading Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, though since it's more like a collection of essays, I read a bit here, a bit there, usually in the morning when I don't want to go to work. ;)

I've also got The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest waiting in the wings on audio, I hope to get that soon. Luckily(?), I'm having surgery next week and will have plenty of time to listen to books, so I figure I'll get to it soon enough.

I just finished William Gibson's "Count Zero" and Kurt Vonnegut's "Timequake," now I'm just focusing on "Bitter Seeds," although I am also always reading "Grapes of Wrath." I don't have it in my possession but I read about one chapter per Borders visit.

I'm reading The Swan Thieves and am loving it more than her last book (The Historian), which I felt like i had to force myself to finish.

Reading The years of Rice and Salt presently, then I'm supposed to read 3rd Millennium book, though I was kinda meh on the last one.

Haven't decided on TYR&S yet. I like the mechanism used to explore alternate history, and I'm ok with the mysticism transitional element. After those, unsure what I'll go at next.

@Hope- Mere Christianity is an incredible book, I've gotta re-read it soon. C.S. Lewis's Non-Fiction is outstanding.

I really liked it! I listened to it and it only and hour and 45 minutes long and I will definetly be listening to it again.

Philip and Jon, I agree, Lewes's Non-Fiction is awsome. Not that his Fiction isn't awsome, the chroicles of Narnia was the first fantasy books I ever read. Though I admit, when it comes to his book
