Ok SPOILER ALEART!
What happened was Sai left, then Hikaru was own his own. In the very last book Akira, Hikaru, and someone else particpated in this tournament. They were facing off against this person who insulted Sai saying he was better than him. In the end they lost a very close game, and Hikaru never beat Akira. After the tournament everyone thought Sai would be the new Akira, and Hikaru would replace Akira's dad like a new gerenation of players.

I liked the first volume when I was reading it in Shonen Jump and then I lost interest, tried to get back into it later to realize that Hikaru's hair changed and I gave up. That and I've seen enough manga that takes place in middle school.

Actually in spelling terms, Raph has two Sai which is called Zai.
Zai is to have mutiple Sai...but strangely enough no one uses that word outside of Okinawa, where the Sai was first created.

I just get a small asthma attack from campfires...and my eyes dry out but they do that alot during the summer anyway and I quit camping two years ago because I dislike nature and thought it safer to stay at home.
