Calling all Gleeks!

ETA- Ohh, I just watched the trailer and it looks awesome!

It was really fun! My cousin had gotten four tickets for her family and when she found out her daughter was going out of town that weekend she asked me if I wanted to come along. I jumped at the chance, of course. The audience was so pumped. There was a lot of singing and dancing and screaming. LOL.

That's really cool! I watched the Oprah episode as well yesterday. Can't wait until next Tuesday!

Guess what? Neil Patrick Harris will be in this upcoming season! SQUEE!

Hello a show where everyone's always singing. I swear if we all sang wherever we went, the world would be a happier place. :)

AAAAHHH I'm so excited!!!!

I ♥ Idina Menzel! I hope she's in more episodes. Poor Rachel, but how could she NOT see Jesse's true intentions? Is she really that naive? :( I wish she'd give Finn another chance.
Sue is hilarious as ever!
"Gives You Hell" was definitely my favorite song from this episode (and actually MUCH less annoying than the original).
Thoughts about this episode?

I loved their version of "Gives You Hell," but I love the original, too.
I don't know how Rachel can be so gullible. I really hope she goes back to Finn. He was so cute when he was singing that song by The Doors.
Sue was awesome. I loved her "Vogue" video.
But Mr. Schue ticked me off this episode. When he kissed that other coach, I wanted to kick him in the nuts. I'm sure Emma would have been really heartbroken if she'd found out about it.

I can kind of understand why he did it. He and Emma were about to go for it when she dropped the bomb that she's a virgin. It's like reaching for a piece of cake and then being told you're on a diet. Suddenly the thing you can't have becomes the thing you want the most, and you'll probably end up sneaking a piece of the cake.
I could see Idina Menzel's character threatening to tell Emma as blackmail or something, though. I hope that doesn't happen! Poor Emma, she was so crushed when she found out about the prom song... she'd be devastated if she found out Will made out with someone right after she confided in him about being a virgin.
Despite her setting up the Jesse/Rachel thing, it's just hard for me to be mad at Idina Menzel's character because I'm so enamored of her in real life. I hope she gets to sing in future episodes. Her voice is INCREDIBLE! *skips away to listen to "Wicked"*

While I'm on the subject of guest appearances, I can't wait for Neil Patrick Harris to show up. I have a feeling it's going to be good.

Lots of surprises in this episode!
-Artie's demands for Tina... he didn't seem like that type of guy :(
-Kurt and Mercedes joining the Cheerios after all Sue has done to sabotage the glee club! I guess it's not that surprising when I remember how easily swayed they were several episodes ago when Sue decided to form a separate minority glee club.
-Jesse transferring to McKinley High and joining New Directions. I so want to believe he's sincere, but that look that passed between him and the Vocal Adrenaline coach from the last episode is convincing me otherwise.
-Finn and Santana. I was surprised he went through with it but not that he lied about it.
I can't decide on my favorite song from this episode! I think it's "Like A Prayer," but maybe because it's my favorite Madonna song in general (though Kurt's range, like in "Defying Gravity," is amazing here!) Also, the "Vogue" music video was awesome, and the boys singing "What It Feels Like For A Girl" was really cute :)

I was disappointed that Finn actually went through with it. I was hoping he wouldn't at the last minute. I don't like Santana.
I loved the "Vogue" video and "Like a Prayer."

I think Jesse is gay pretending to be straight. I'm talking about the character, not the actor (who does happen to be gay.) Seriously, do you know any straight guys who act like Jesse?
I had Madonna songs going through my head all morning! That was just a really fun episode that I will have to watch again!

Neil Patrick Harris is going to be competition for Mr. Schue. He wants the Glee Club crushed, too. I imagine, it'll be awesome if this happened, if he charms Emma away :P

No way! Really! That will so *wait for it* extraordinary!

I think my fav part was finding out that Rachel didn't but said she did and Finn did but said he didn't.

Oooh, that could be an interesting development. Someone to take Kurt's mind off of Finn.

Or if you prefer, you can watch it on hulu.com

I'm in a community musical right now, something I've wanted to do for a while but didn't have an opportunity to do in high school or college, and honestly, it's nowhere near as fun as I thought it would be. That's not to say there aren't fun moments, but it seems like most of it is people stressing out, snapping at each other, arguing over who deserves flowers... I can't wait for it to be over and I doubt I'm going to participate again next year.

Anyway, on to Glee!
*Episode 16 "Home" spoilers*
Well, aside from the return of the amazing Kristen Chenoweth (and Kurt and Mercedes getting to do more solo singing), I was a little disappointed in this episode :( I thought it was kind of... cheesy. Loving yourself for who you are on the inside? An important message, of course, but its delivery just seemed so Disney Channel. I felt that the Finn/Kurt/parent storyline has also been overdone in TV, though I'm relieved it wasn't an entirely happy ending. Finn's acceptance of Kurt's dad was moving, but the fact that Kurt is still wounded adds some depth and makes it a little more realistic.

I am looking for the day Idina sings with Kristin - that will be amazing.
I thought it was cool to let Rachel take a backseat for an episode, I still want to go smack her so she'll snap out of it with Jonathan Groff. OK, enough ranting, I can go on for days about my favorite show
I agree with you Andi. I was kind of glad that Fin and Rachel took a backseat in the singing department this time around. I just LOVE Kristin I think she is cute as a button and has the voice of an angel. I could watch her all day. I'm glad the producers are smart enough about this show to not always make it about the same two or three people.

I can't be the only Gleek out there! Speak up! I was going to wait until the show actually returns (less than a week now, woohoo!) to start this thread, but then I saw the trailer and I just couldn't wait. I'm bursting with excitment!!!
