I don’t see why Alice has such a PEJORAIVE attitude about her body and eating. She refuses to touch anything while in the hospital and there is nothing that anyone can do. I feel so bad for her but I, just like her family and the doctors around her, feel hopeless about her recovery. It’s like all of the activities that she does with all of the other girls are meaningless to her. She acts like she is only physically there, but not mentally. She doesn’t pay attention and she completely disregards the motivational sayings that the therapists try to get the girls to say out loud together. I understand that she feels isolated right now because when people ask her questions she answers with SUCCINT sentences that have no real answer. I wish that there was a way for people to get through to her but at this point I don’t know.

What I did to try to improve my comprehension was read in silence. I found that this was the only way I could ever comprehend and remember what I was reading. So I went outside to my backyard and sat down on the grass and read straight through with no interruptions or distractions. It actually worked for me. I made sure not to bring my phone or have anything else that my take my attention off of the book. I figured out that the FEASIBILTY of improving my comprehension is possible when I look for different ways and places to read.

The author’s purpose is why the writer is writing and what he or she wants to accomplish. In the story “The Passion of Alice” the author is trying to tell a story about a young girl and her battle with anorexia. The author is tying to show the reader how bad eating disorders are by telling the life story of Alice. The tone is the feeling, mood, or emotional feeling of a piece or writing. The tone of this story is depressing, serious, and grave. All through the book so far I feel sad for Alice and I just want her to get her better.

Wow this book is amazing I don’t understand how so much has happened in the past 200 pages. Bella gets into labor and its not normal the baby inside is trying to get out and in the process of doing so its hurting Bella. The first thing was her ribs, then it was her pelvic bone then when she was on the operating table that Carlisle had ORCHESTRAED into one of the rooms in the home for home birth it broke her spine. Poor Jacob and Edward had to see Bella go through it and her body look all mutilated. She passed out from all the pain and Edward had to take matters into his own hands. He unwillingly got the baby out of her and gave it to Rosalie and then he carefully bit all over her body to evenly distribute the venom.

I fist thought that Bella was going to die because it just didn’t seem FEASIBLE to go through all that body damage and survive. Not only did she survive but the conversion to becoming a vampire worked and after the poison took full effect she was better than perfect. The child that she had was named Renesmee and she was utterly beautiful. She was described as angel like and the way Meyer wrote the way she looked I definitely can believe it. Bella was able to adapt quickly and was able to be around humans. Charlie her dad even visited her and met Renesmee. They told him that they had to adopt her but Charlie knew that it wasn’t true but just like Jacob he stuck around and was on need to know basis.

The author’s purpose is to tell a story between two characters that are deeply in love and would do anything and everything for one another. This story to me is a better modernized version of Romeo and Juliet except for the fact that they don’t end up committing suicide. The story that Meyer produced in the end was exceptional. To describe this book SUCCINCTLY, to me the tone of the author and the overall mood was serious, passionate, and critical. These word describe this book down to the tee. The book was serious in that Bella almost dies and passionate in that no matter what Edward never gave up on her. Over all everything was critical.

I DEFINATELY AGREE WHEN YOU READ IN SILENCE YOU DO ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS YOU ARE READING. I THINK ITS BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO CONCENTRATE ON. WOW SO IN THE MIST OF ALL THAT BODY IMAGE STUFF SHE MANAGES TO FIND A LOVE INTEREST. I THINK THE AUTHOR WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF JUST STICKING TO ALICE AND THAT BE IT

Ashlie Fields (ashliefields) | 8 comments This boook gets more and more exciting each time I read a post from you. I am definitly going to read it. I can't believe that all of that happened to Bella's body just by giving birth. And I am in shock that she actually did end up getting changed into a vampire like she always had wanted. I wonder what exciting things will happen at the end of the book.

Its amazing how Bella actually survives through all the pain she's been though. I'm wondering if the baby is Edwards or Jacobs. Its probably Edward, but what does Jacob have to do with Bella's child's birth. I though Edward and Jacob had a conflict. And also, does this mean that Bella is now a vampire??

I don't really see a story line to this book. I thought the author told his introduction the way he did, but it ended up being the format in his writing. His writing elaborates different professionals' life and sees why they go through their quick deciding decisions to succeed in life. I find it amazing how he knows so much about other professions as an author and could elaborate with so much detail to ALLUDE and explain his point. The book puts forth much detail and explanation that I wonder how many references he must have gotten for all this information. I wonder if he interviewed the people he talked about because he would quote some professionals and then EXEMPLIFY why it is significant to our knowledge.

I "somewhat" lost track of my reading because during spring break I had my work schedule filled up to a full time job. Even though i had brought my book PROPOUNDING to read it during my lunch break, I couldn't because right after finishing my meal, I had to clock right back in since it was really busy. I thought I would lose track of the book completely but I took action and saw what i needed to do to catch up. I increased my page goal INCREMENT for the weekend to make my goal FEASIBILE. All in all, I caught myself from slipping and found my way back to my reading.

The author's purpose is Exposition. He is here to inform, to set fort, to explain, and to discuss what he has to say about making life changing decisions. He is very factual about his information. He is consistent with its purpose to provide informative information. It doesn't not influence our opinions or emotions or to criticize or argue while presenting us with the information. His tone is very critical and analytical. He explains the profession that the particular professional does and then analyses how these people react and take action. He is critical when he EXEMPLIFIES these people so that we are not at AMBIGUITY. This is most likely a positive tone to the reader.
