I just finished this book for our 4th challenge. It's a fictional account of a 13 year old Jewish girl from present day being sent back in time to a family headed to Auschwitz. It's an accurate account of the daily life there, if softened a bit for younger readers.

I loved this book in 6th grade, and I've reread it a few times since then. I really liked the story, and the way it was handled. It made me tear up when I first read it. I really liked the idea behind the main story too- a young Jewish girl who doesn't really understand what it means to be Jewish discovering her roots, and learning about the history and heritage of her family, and her people.
