Hmm...The task is "1.25: Read 2 books from a series (or 2 books from 1 author) from a different culture, or in a genre you don't read."
I know it's not a genre you don't read, and where the author is from doesn't necessarily matter unless it's part of the book -- the culture aspect refers to the story, not the writer.
I'm feeling like I'd have to veto, but I want all of your opinions, please.

I looked up the definition of culture:Culture- the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group; also : the characteristic features of everyday existence (as diversions or a way of life) shared by people in a place or time
I'm thinking Canada's way of life is pretty similar to ours...

Sorry- Nay. I even discussed it with my husband after I saw it and the author is from Ontario not Quebec. Quebec does have different customs than ours, but Ontario doesn't.
