Just finished The Burning Girl by Mark Billingham...I really like this series. I have so many good books from the library sitting right here beside me...but having a hard time narrowing the next book to read down to one. Mystery...or not...that is the question...

Just finished Imitation in Death and as with all the other In Death books, it was good!! Not as shocking and twist filled as I would have liked but I just love the characters and the storylines in these books! Now I will start the next one in the FBI Profiler series, The Next Accident. I fully expect lots of twists and turns in the plot of this one. Lisa Gardner is excellent at the mystery thing!

My choices are Detective Inspector Huss by Helene Tursten, Stolen Souls by Stuart Neville, The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton, and The Moon Tunnel by Jim Kelly. See my dilemma!
Reading The Next Time You See Me, which so far is creepily delicious and also from one of my favorite series December's Thorn
Just started reading Snowbound by Blake Crouch.
Just started And Be a Villain; about 1/3 through A Murder on the Appian Way; also about 1/3 through Chasing Amanda - this one's intriguing. (The other two are classics - how much recommendation from me do they need?
just finished Still Missing by Chevy Stevens. Talk about a major creep out! Not in a bad way. Still Missing
would you recommend it val? i've been thinking about trying that author for a while but was thinking of starting with Never Knowingfyi- her new book is out and i believe it features the psychiatrist from still missing as the lead character

I LOVED Never Knowing and yes, if you can stand the ick factor, I recommend Still MIssing. Stevens totally understands how to write strong female leads that don't have to be rescued by someone other than themselves.
I am looking forward to her new book -- esp. now that you've told me that it is that psychiatrist. How clever!
By ick factor, I mean it involves some pretty heavy circumstances in the first half. I will not forget this book.
I finished Pursuit of Honor by Vince Flynn. I love this series! Now I'm reading my first C.J. Box novel Open Season
Val wrote: "just finished Still Missing by Chevy Stevens. Talk about a major creep out! Not in a bad way. Still Missing"I agree with this!! I didn't know if I'd be able to stand it but I pushed through and was glad I did! Can't wait to read her other 2 books!! Never Knowing is next on my list to read! What is the name of the new one out?
you;ll Enjoy C. J. Box I read a couple of his and Liked them.Tay wrote: "I finished Pursuit of Honor by Vince Flynn. I love this series! Now I'm reading my first C.J. Box novel Open Season"
Museum of the Missing: A History of Art Theft
, a survey of art and antiquities theft over the past century.I just finished Connelly's The Drop and posted a review a day or two ago.
Has finished Witchy, Witchy - Penelope King. Now I think I will read Name and Number - John Hoskison.

I did exactly the same thing. I had to push myself to get through the difficult part. New one, not yet out, is ALWAYS WATCHING. There's a giveaway you can enter here on Goodreads. Good luck, except I want to win it.
The eighties trivia in Ready Player One is fun. A differnt take on the Golden Ticket in Willy Wonka.
April wrote: "Currently reading Ready Player One. Immediately hooked!"ready player one is a great book- highly recommend it for anyone who loved the 1980's
I just finished The Devil's Star and found it to be the best so far in the Harry Hole series (I'm not up to date, there are several more recent Hole novels I have yet to read). Some story lines from previous installments were finally resolved, which was pleasing. As much as I enjoy Nesbo's Harry Hole series, I'm going to change things up with my next book.
I am just about to start
Ann Cleeves is a new author to me, it was on offer on Amazon kindle , so I thought I'd give it a go has anyone read it on here

I'm reading Doha 12 and loving it. A very tense spy thriller that modernizes the genre. I recently finished The Geneva Decision and HIGHLY recommend it. The woman in that is like Jane Bond or Bruce Wayne's sister. Excellent read.
(Is leaving the bookcover obnoxious? I like a clickable link when I read comments, not sure if I'm alone on that :)

reading Deal Breaker
- not sure why it took me so long to start this series- really loving it so far
I finished Good Morning, Midnight by Reginald Hill; a couple of apparent suicides form the crux of this Dalziel and Pascoe mystery.

Hi Melissa. I like the covers too but sometimes if you are looking at Goodreads on the mobile app they don't show up well. Depends on the device, I think. That's why you'll see some people use both the cover and the plain link.

I just finished Say You're Sorry, which ws really good, a real page turner. Now I'm reading Thurday's List.

However, it wasn't until people pointed out the fact that you couldn't see them on the mobile app and they don't tell you who the author was that I started using both! :-)
I finished Open Season by C.J. Box. I don't hate it but I didn't love it. I will read another one from him to see how I feel. I'm current reading A Lonely Resurrection (previously published as Hard Rain/Blood From Blood by Barry Eisler

I recently read Desert Places by Blake Crouch. I thought it was great. Excellent. Read the follow-up, Locked Doors, which didn't which the same height of excellence, but was okay. I will read the final in the trilogy, but am now reading Richard Hawke "Speak of the Devil." I think it is Very Good. I get ALL my ideas for books to read from here on Goodreads, perusing your lists and hearkening to your comments. Thanks for posting and do not underestimate its worth!!
I'm reading Snowbound by Blake Crouch right now. Great read.
I just finished The Last Good Kiss by . It was given to me with a "hmm...suggested to be one of the great mysteries of the century...tell me what you think" and I just don't know what I think! I really enjoyed it. Obviously I have no experience with the hard-boiled mysteries. Curious to know anyone else's thoughts.James Crumley

Think you might be able to post a rating or review when you finish?
Just finished The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. Not a crime book, although a lot of hilarious crime was committed. Such a good, feel-good read. Read it in one sitting flying to Australia, but that's a hell of a long flight. Now starting on Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan.
