I have just put down, with a sigh of contentment, The Likeness by Tana French. This is a convoluted psychological suspense novel, heavy with characterization.
Just finished
and now onto Russell Blake's Jet I... both good books, reviews to come after the holidays.

It was good. Some really good twists in there that I didn't expect. I think his Lincoln Rhymes series is outstanding. His other works have been good too but not up to par with the Rhymes/Sach series.
So how is "The Bone Collector" by Mr. Deaver, anyone read this one? Also , what about his James Bond book, "Carte Blanche"?
Just finished Private Games by James Patterson, for some reason it won't show up, it's the beginning of a series with Mark Sullivan. It was a good book and I enjoyed it but not enough to rush out and get the next 2 in line. I'm just starting The Jungle by Clive Cussler. I got 8 books for Christmas and a gift card for my Kobo so will be doing some serious reading.

I enjoyed the Bone Collector very much, Bob. In fact, I've read quite a few of the Lincoln Rhymes/ Amelia Sachs books, all interesting..
I'm currently reading
and
.

And, if you weren't aware, Bone Collector was made into a movie quite a few years ago...I see it playing on TV periodically....
Cathie wrote: "Finished N is for Noose by S. Grafton and started Godplayer by Robin Cook. I've not read Robin Cook before and really like his writing. I'm glad he has a lot of other books too..."I like Robin Cook too, both the stand alones and his series with Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery. The first series book is Blindsight
I just finished Iron Orchid by Stuart Woods. It wasn't as great as the others in the series. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. Also, like the others in the series the title of the book is attached in the book which explains how the author got the name. This one left me hanging. The villian really didn't seem like one and you kind of didn't really care what happened throughout the book. This gave made me feel it lacked suspense. I hope the last one is better.
I finished Demolition Angel by Robert Crais. It's a stand alone that doesn't feature Elvis Cole or Joe Pike. Highly recommended! It was excellent.

I bought the book the day I was going to see the movie, T, managed to read a few pages while I was waiting for the movie to start.. I enjoyed both.
just finished Higher Authority by S Stephen White...struggled to finish it. I loved the first one I read by him but disappointed in this one.now I am reading Every Dead Thing by John Connolly thanks to Gator man's high recommendation. it is Superb.
Just finished November Hunt by Jess Lourey. Just started Blinded by Stephen White - giving Tim's comment some thought

Tim - I, too, have been having a hard time reading Higher Authority. I'm a not giving up on it, though.

thanks dorie! it's still early but i'm really liking it so far
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if you happen to know an author who is very similar to James Patterson's writing style and technique. Thank you for your time and help!

Hi Antonello,
if you like James Patterson, you might enjoy Michael Connelly, Tess Gerristen, Jeffery Deaver, Clive Cussler’s.
thanks!
I haven't posted my current readings in a while. I'm still trucking along in 3 different series, In Death by JD Robb, Harry Bosch by Michael Connelly, and Rainie & Qunicy aka FBI Profiler series by Lisa Gardner. I finished
Still Missing and
Portrait in Death over the holiday. The In Death books are always great & funny, whereas Still Missing was a little disturbing but good. I just couldn't imagine myself going through all she went through!I'm now reading the 5th Harry Bosch,
Trunk Music and the 2nd FBI profiler,
The Third Victim. This year, I'd really like to finish the Bosch series and start the Kay Scarpetta Series by Patricia Cornwell. We'll see how that goes since I can have a solid plan of action and easily get distracted if I see something else good. I just can't get enough! :)
Hi Aiesha, I'm a Fan of all Three, Michael Connelly, Lisa Gardner and J.D. Rob
Currently I'm Reading the in Death Series by J.D.Robb
I'm on book 13 Betrayal in Death, Love the Characters.

I'm Looking forward to starting the Harry Bosh Series also.
I have finally finished Locked In - Kerry Wilkinson. Now about to embark on But Inside I'm Screaming - Elizabeth Flock.
I just finished
This was a very good mystery/suspense novel due for release later this month. I highly recommend it. I am now reading
. This is a paranormal mystery/romance.

Sounds great!! How is The Other Daughter? Is that one of her stand alones? I've read the D.D. Warren series and now this FBI profiler series but none of the stand alones yet. Let me know how you like it! :)
My wife and I both love that book, too, Suzy. Great writing and characters, I may have to read it again, too. I just finished "The Bone Collector" a week ago, and enjoyed it immensely. Much better than the movie, and I liked it, too.
I just finished Taken by Robert Crais. It was really good 4 stars! Can't wait for his new one Suspect to come out. Really looking forward to reading Edge of Black by JT Ellison next. She is one my favorites!
Finished Blood Money and it was very good. I just love Jack and his abuela. Starting Little Wolves which is being billed as a literary thriller.

i thought The Other Daughter was a bit far fetched but i still really liked it.
many people seem to love the robb series- i really need to try that one- just have so many series on my tbr
would you recommend Still Missing? i've been meaning to try this author as well.
I just finished the RottweilerThe Rottweiler and it was wonderful, genius except the very end. I loved the characters and I cared about them even the killer. That is hard to pull off but Ruth Rendell does it like no other
Brenda wrote: "Still Missing is brilliant! The In Death series is awesome....I for one, am totally addicted!!! ;)"
I'm addicted as well Love the Series.
I just finished
and it was a good listen. I did the audio book while working out. The narrator was very good. I gave it 4 stars. I am starting
. It is another audio book to listen to while working out.
Reading a new to me author, Andrea Kane. The Girl Who Disappeared Twice.j. I can see that is definitely a "can't put down" book! Great first two chapters!
Just started reading The President's Wife is on Prozac Found it free one day on www.ereadernewstoday.com. A psychologist from England is contacted by the M16 (Britain's Secret Service) to treat the USA President's wife. She will be paid $500,000 to live in the White House for 6 months, and can't tell anyone. Have only read the first 2 chapters and already has me asking questions about what in the world is going to happen next.
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Gave up on But Inside I'm Screaming - Elizabeth Flock, just couldn't get into it :("Love Chelsea Cain!
I just finished Hothouse Orchid which is the last in the Holly Barker series. I liked the series and am sad it is over.
