Julie (gpangel) | 148 comments I finished Die For Me (Romantic Suspense, #7) (Daniel Vartanian, #1) by Karen Rose and Cookie Dough or Die (A Cookie Cutter Shop Mystery, #1) by Virginia Lowell .
Again, Karen Rose rules!
The Virginia Lowell cozy is above average and very entertaining.
I am now reading Dude On Arrival (Sarah Deane Mystery, #5) by J.S. Borthwick . This a Christmas themed cozy mystery. Also, reading The Outside Man by Richard North Patterson

Mark Capell (mark_capell) | 39 comments I'm in the middle of a Philip Kerr novel The Pale Criminal (Bernard Gunther, #2) by Philip Kerr at the moment. I do like it that the criminal investigation is played out in the midst of the rise of the despicable Nazi regime in 1930s Germany. It adds to the tension.

Well I liked the book. As I can see around here, not everyone did, but I found it intriguing enough to read it in every spare time I had. If I judge the book by the desire to get to the end to "find out who did it", I must say this one hit me. The beginning was pretty tense and so was the rest of the book. I couldn't quite get into the hypnosis seances thing, I found it quite unbelievable but maybe it's just me. And yes, as someone here said, the sexual involvement of some characters was quite inappropriate to the situation but it didn't spoil the story. All in all, it isn't a bad read, go ahead and read it. You may like it or you may not, don't believe what others say because likeliness is always pretty subjective thing. It is only one way to find out :-)
