I just finished and it was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was as good as his Women's Murder Club series. It reminds me that you should always listen to your Nana. She certainly was right!

I just finished this evening and as was the case with the other Stephanie Plum mysteries I've read so far, it was funny, a nice easy read and a solid mystery. Excellent stuff. About to start the 2nd Captain Bruno mystery now; by Martin Walker.

I read Step on a Crack The story line was good, and there was a twist at the end of the story. I am now reading the 2nd book in the series, Run for Your Life. The only thing that bugs me is the chapters are super short. The books are written by James Patterson and are about a police detective named Mike Bennett.

Just finished . Okay, but not quite my kind of thing. More romance (pretty graphic) than suspense/mystery.

Theresa, I will always make a try on these if I can get them on the free downloads. Some work for me, the ones that focus more on the suspense/mystery than the romance interludes. This one would have worked a lot better for me if the author had cut the sex scenes by about half or 2/3 thirds and developed the suspense and paranormal storyline by that much.

And along that line ... I'm also a die=hard fan of the "In Death" series by J. D. Robb. They get pretty graphic at times but the rest of the writing and the characters are so vivid that the series has me thoroughly hooked.

He has a book coming out in November called The Age of Doubt and then the 15th in the series, The Dance of the Seagull, comes out next March. I'm trying to get caught up in the series!

I finishefd Night And Day by Robert B. Parker. I enjoyed revisiting Jesse Stone, chief of police in this series, but the mystery plot was kind of tepid. I was a little disappointed.

I've just started a new mystery, The Crime and the Crystal, by Elizabeth Ferrars. I've read a couple of her mysteries before and enjoyed them.

Just finished a Val McDermidA Place Of Execution,which was my first book by her but not my last. Started The Mermaids Singing The Mermaids Singing and William Bernhardt Death RowDeath Row.The beginning of Death Row catches you right off but I'm half way through and I know who did it and have an idea why, which sort of spoils it for me. Since this is a library book I want to finish it first.

Just read a sample of "Big Maria" by Johnny Shaw and it was quite good with very well described characters and potential for a great plot based on the book's beginning.
Will pursue reading the rest of it. Has any one read it all or Shaw's other book "Dove Season"?

I just finished Run for Your Life It is the 2nd book in the Michael Bennett series. I need to go to the actual library for book 3. I love the story lines that Patterson uses. The only thing I dont like is the super short chapters, and chapter breaks in the middle of conversations etc.

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted in this group! I was traveling most of September and early October(including a fun trip to Cleveland for Bouchercon). During my travels, I read The Mapping of Love and Death and really enjoyed it. I've put the first book in that series on my to-read list, so I can go back and catch up to the one I read, the 7th.
