Made me think of Erich Kästner immediately.
It's about twins called Lottie and Lisa, one lives with the father in Vienna, the other with the mother in Munich.
Orignal Title (yes, in German) is "Das doppelte Lottchen" (1949), English title of the book should be "Lottie and Lisa".
The film "Parent Trap" was based on the book.

I completely forgot about the title & author (germany I guess) but I do still remember about the story, in fact the book is similiar with the movie "Parent trap" (lindsay lohan)
The story about the twins sisters, live separately in west and east german, but then they moved to austria. They met at the summer camp and found that they're twins (their father was a composer, and their mother was a kindergarten teacher).
Any idea?
