2. an american tragedy

Please feel free to nominate next time, Amanda... but you do have to realize that our accompanying book is quite hefty and most of us wanted something of a more moderate length to read alongside it. We also have the restriction of working from Rory's list. You must have gone to a very good high school, by the way.
Amanda-the nice thing if you've already chosen the book is that you can discuss without re-reading it, or you can have the opportunity to re-read the book at a different stage in your life, which can turn out to be pretty interesting. If you just don't feel like discussing a particular book, then you can participate more with another group that month, or you can just read something on your own.
I vote for The Code of the Woosters and Hamlet.Cause I cannot think of two more similar protagonists than Bertie Wooster and Hamlet Prince of the Danes.
Oh if only Hamlet had had Jeeves working for him!
;)

Tom, where ya been?Michele. really? Before midnight?
I sort of love that I was cross-posting with Michele and so my post got in before she closed the thread, and now I can say whatever I want. Hee hee hee.
*crossing fingers that it's not Catcher in the Rye* No offense to those who want to read it. I'm sure others are crossing their fingers in hopes that it's not Hemingway. :)
I can wait if you want, but it was actually supposed to be midnight this morning. Over the last few months I've done it sometime on that day (the 29th) because it's just to hard to do the cut off thing at exactly that time (midnight)... so I generally extend it to sometime during the listed day. But if any of this bother anyone, let me know, and I'll fix it!
I'll leave this post open for discussion about it, just in case... but everyone HAS had over a week!
