Strongly suggest "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield. A fantastic historical fiction novel. Absolutely amazing. The beginning is a little slow but the end... wow.

Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail
I would never have picked this book up on my own. It is my Book Club choice for this month. Despite not really liking the author much, the story is fascinating and I am having trouble putting it down. That is the wonderful thing about Book Clubs, they expose you to books that you would have otherwise passed by.
